Sarnia Farmers' Market - A True Local Gem! 🌟 A wonderful traditional farmers' market that's been serving the community since 1847! Open every Wednesday and Saturday year-round. What to know: Wednesday mornings are quiet and peaceful - perfect for leisurely shopping Saturday midday is bustling and lively (but parking gets competitive!) Bring cash - most vendors don't accept cards Produce is incredibly fresh and flavorful Meat & cheese vendors offer great quality, but plan to use quickly as refrigeration standards may differ from supermarkets The vibe: This market brings together dozens of local farmers and small businesses under one roof. You're buying directly from the people who grow/make the products! The historic setting and friendly vendors make it a lovely community experience. Great for finding seasonal produce, artisanal goods, and supporting local agriculture. A must-visit for anyone in Sarnia who appreciates fresh, local food and authentic market atmosphere! Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

I find things go bad really quick. I purchased some sandwich meat. The next day I oppend the brown paper and took the top slice and made my sandwich. Later I noticed the bottom slices had mold! These would have been the exposed end. I'm sorry things are cheeper at the big box stores and last longer. UPDATE. I picked up a roast last Saturday at the market. Decided to cube it and make soup instead. You can clearly see how discolored and disgusting it was (the Brown layer). Then the bright red paint thats been applied to the outer layer to make it look fresh! Im done going to the market!!

I like the traditional way of buying and selling this place is perfect to do that. The farmers were so welcoming and it was like a really great experience.there were so many farmers are selling fresh and organic fruits and vegetables. They also gave good information about how they work and how they all of there stuff. also there is bakery shop named Alfredo definitely recommended place. The lady selling good, Mary was so kind and Friendly she offered us their rice balls for free to try out.

There was alot of different before that all looked delicious and every booth I went up to all the vendors were very friendly and happy to help. However I had my 1 year old grand daughter and there was always at least 1 or 2 bees that continued to follow us and try to fly in out faces. Eveytime I went inside to lose them I would come back oht in a different area and new bees would swarm us. 1 vendor had a thing to catch them but I think there should be more added in mid Aug into Sept when the hornets and bees seem to want to swarm people and won't leave you alone. I was worried about my grand daughter getting stung in the face since that's where they would fly near and around...

This is one of my favourite places! Everyone there is so kind and friendly and I genuinely look forward to seeing them every week - not to mention the amazing products available! No matter who you buy from, you'll get a deal on everything to from deli and fresh meats, produce (especially seasonal, in the summer the whole place smells of fresh strawberries), honey, wine, and fresh baked goods. Make sure to try the butter tarts from the ladies at Bayfield Berry, the spring rolls, or the fresh mini donuts. This place is a genuine delight to shop at - good prices and the best people. It's open Wednesday and Saturday 7am-1pm, get there early as vendors can run out...
