Stratford General Hospital Foundation — Local services in Stratford

I have been admitted twice to this hospital via their emergency department in the past 5 years. Once for severe asthma (3 days) and gall bladder (6 days). I am so thankful it was here in Stratford that I had my attacks as this hospital is far better than the ones where I live in Grey County. Dr. McWilliams is a great surgeon with a kind bedside manner. The emerg department nurses and attendings are caring and compassionate, the techs in radiology helpful and kind, the housekeeping and kitchen staff don't hate their job and it shows. My one and only complaint are the i.v. machines whose alarms go off, even when no i.v. is hooked up. I could hear neighbouring rooms, my room mate's and my own went off all day & night. The hospital is outstanding in every way. A calm and welcoming atmosphere upon entering, with friendly volunteers running the cafeteria, bookstore by donation and gift shop.

Imaging: Although the waiting time for appointments is between two to three months, once the appointment is confirmed, health services are excellent executed.

EMILY at imaging is superb in giving directions, patient and supportive. Thanks Emily for the great service and compassion.

Staff members are accommodating, professional and highly qualified.

Excellent hospital and a great Surgeon. Dr. Adam Maruscak is my wife's surgeon through cancer and beyond. As well as small issue for myself. We are so grateful of the care and compassion he has shown as well as his outstanding skills in the OR. Making a 4 hour round trip to be looked after by A. Maruscak never feels like a burden.
