Design issues. Cleanliness issues. Landscaping issues. Some potential.
Sullivan Park (not ball diamonds area) is where I visited. Some open areas, but the ground is like a farmer had just tilled it. (Freshly mowed by what must have been a bulldozer). Completely unusable unless you want ankle issues. Walked the trails which were okay, but constantly found myself on residential roads. Park not really thought out well. Surprised to see a water feature in the middle that is completely overgrown with a single bench facing it ... the view? A City of Surrey sign.
The kids playground looks decent, some memorial trees planted nearby, even a plaque from the then Mayor of Surrey.
Great potential if they designed more and linked it in with the train station on 64th better. And great view of mountains to the north!
*The single outhouse was unusable. Serious cleaning issue. I mean SERIOUS cleaning issue. There was a City of Surrey employee in a truck eating his lunch, but for some reason I didn't think to bring it to...
