Pain is something I've had to battle since 2012. Between the recurring injuries and relapses from other rehabilitation plans, I had to bury my love for sports like volleyball and softball because it was too painful to not be able to play. I've been receiving consultation and treatment from Mark for a few years now. It wasn't until he made me carve out time for consistent treatment that I finally am seeing and feeling results. Mark never gave up on me. He constantly did research to help combat my plethora of injuries that developed over the past five years. From patella femoral syndrome, rotator cuff injury, bulging discs in my lumbar spine and sciatica, Mark made it a priority to create an individualized plan for me, and always checked up and reminded me to book an appointment for treatment. His motto is, "all you need is five minutes a day, daily small efforts go a long way." It was difficult for me to adhere to old programs from other practitioners, but I bought into Mark's five minutes a day philosophy and I am proud to say that this is the first year I've had little to no pain! Being able to play volleyball with my friends is something I that I never thought was possible; let alone having no pain! I still and will always see Mark for treatment because he listens to your needs, he approaches the injury from various perspectives, he also encourages you and motivates you to stick to your goal. My goal was to be pain free and seeing him consistently since January 2017 has been the best decision of my life. Thank...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI been having mid and lower back pain for the past couple of months. The back pain was really strange because it only occurs after I wake up from sleep and not during my daily activities. I went to many physiotherapist sessions and my body felt relaxed/balanced right after those sessions however, the back pain never went away. From my X-Rays the physiotherapist told me that my spine is tilted a bit to the right side of my body, but the degree of the tilt is very minor so it does not require surgery. I stopped going to physiotherapy after 7 sessions because it was expensive ($125 per session/40 minutes) and it was not working (laying in my bed for 15-20 minutes with lower back pain after waking up). I found Woosa Massage because it was referred to me by a my co-worker who also had back pain. After my first visit at Woosa Massage, I can say that the massage was pretty comfortable and my body felt better till the next morning. I can now wake up mid to back pain free only after 5 sessions of Woosa massage therapy. I am so glad that I found this place and my massage therapist, a guy named Mark, was very helpful. When my mid to lower back pain did reoccur in between those 5 sessions, he would sent videos of many yoga stretches for me to do. Surprisingly, the stretches he showed me helped as well and I do it on a day to day basis. Anyone who's looking for a way to get rid of back pain, I would recommend you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI started going to Mark as I felt stuck in a rut despite several years daily yoga. His profile originally got my attention because he was clearly adept at inversions while still highlighting the importance of basics. I also hoped his knowledge of the body through his high level RMT skill would give him an advantage in understanding how to let my body perform postures better or how to use the postures to make my body perform better. My only concern was that he might be too anatomy based in his instructions. Fortunately, it was quite the opposite. He quietly uses his anatomical knowledge to understand why some postures are harder for some people, and how to make progressing into the posture easier, making him a compassionate and intuitive teacher. When I see his own practice, I recognize the quality of breath power allowing him to float into advanced asanas with ease, lightness and control. I believe that his focus on channeling the breath to the inner layers and using as little tension as possible are the hallmarks of his teaching style. I have zero regret from studying with Mark, wish I had started with him much earlier, always enjoy and appreciate my trainings, and recommend...
