The hidden gem:
I'm not sure how famous this small beach is, but there seemed to be plenty of people - so, probably not as hidden! We had taken a paddleboard lesson from Toronto SUP that starts in the backwater and then they take you out into the lake where you can see the city skyline. This is where we first noticed this small cozy beach. So, we checked it out on google maps and decided to go there the next time.
The beach itself is pretty small, might be suitable for maximum 3-4 small groups. We got lucky and it was empty when we reached - (tip: try to get there early). We saw signage that indicated a permit was needed for overnight camping. The day we went, there was a rave happening on the side - DJ with 4 large speakers and definitely 30+ people. Seems like a good place to party, not sure how the permits work.
The water is shallow and great to laze around. The views are amazingly good! It seems safe to keep your things by the beach area and there is sufficient area to have a picnic/drink (not spacious!)
Overall Verdict: Definitely worth checking out, although I do wish that this...

I’ve heard stories of a one eyed snake who roams these parts looking for unsuspecting travellers to bite on the lips but these stories are as old as the island is beautiful and although it’s fun to tell them by a campfire you cannot always believe what you hear.
