More communication would be nice with customers because when tellers walk away (they could at least explain or say “I need to confirm of double check with a colleague “ ) or when other workers insert themselves and start asking questions then get frustrated when you aren’t sure ( I was confused when the lady inserted herself, got frustrated but didn’t clarify she was helping she just started typing ) (to be honest I didn’t like her approach and it made me feel like I was being a “problem”) and when this other worker(Asian lady , highlights ) came over and said “is there a problem” loud and clear (I get she’s helping her coworkers but it makes people who weren’t trying to cause issues/ sensitive very uneasy )it makes customers who are confused (first time at this branch and at a bank by myself ) feel very horrible like we are causing issues when clearer instructions/communicatiom/ nice customer service were what was needed. I also want to mention that the Asian guy teller could use more patience. He was very impatient, harsh and not accommodating to a confused elderly woman.
The lack of patience, communication and well overall “customer service “ at this branch really shocked me because it was really intimidating and I felt like crying because the teller lady who just inserted herself and wasn’t happy when I was confused (black lady with braids, her badge said personal advisor on it and she had gold earrings and black eyeliner )was clearly giving mean girl energy. I didn’t like how this interaction today made me feel, it wasn’t very welcoming or understanding at all,
BUT I do want to say that Fatima, when I called to give feedback. She was very understanding, apologetic, explained more clearly when I mentioned why I was going to the branch. She is amazing. Fatima thank you because helped me get over the anxiety I had that were caused by the other workers. 5stars to you!! And I hope you have a good day 🫶
But genuinely it’s not that hard to be kind and patient. If you have issues, take a 5 minute break, dont make customers want to cry
I can understand and be empathetic with a stressful workplace and having a long day but I can’t excuse how I felt at this branch. I genuinely won’t ever come back because of...
Read moreThis is the worst branch!!!. I would give it 0 stars if I could, but the system doesn't allow it. The fact that the branch has a rating of 2.5 stars out of 5 speaks volumes. I recommend choosing another branch for your banking needs. Oftentimes there are lineups of up to 10 people, with only 1 person behind the counter - UNACCEPTABLE!!!
Today I went to the branch to pay $300.00 to my CashBack VISA. When I arrived home and looked at my receipt the teller had taken $300.00 out of an account that is seldom used and only has a small balance of $6.00 in it. My main account had over $2,500. in it. Wouldn't you think someone with half a brain or less would take the money out of my larger account. As a result of the teller's incompetence, my account went into overdraft.
I called the branch twice, the first time to advise of the overdraft and to request a reversal of the $300, and the second time, an hour later, to ask why the reversal had not been done. I was advised that the person I spoke to earlier was presently in a meeting. Why couldn't Ferry (sp) the person who answered the second call, do the reversal??? It's not rocket science.
I often go to the York Mills and Leslie branch when I see there is a lineup at the York Mills Plaza branch.....AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! There are no lineups - if there are 3 people in line the Assistant Manager jumps in and provides assistance by opening a station All the employees know what to do and they always greet you with a smile, unlike the York Mills Plaza branch.
I have been a customer of TD all my life - my dad was a TD banker for 45 years. This branch used to be good - Dina and Ardit were great. Since TD did nothing for Dad and myself re our investments I decided to move all our investments to another bank and I am so happy I made this decision. TD is not the bank it used to be- the recent scandal would never have happened if any of the formidable CEOs such as Messrs. Lambert or Thomson, and Presidents Boyle and Korthals were still with the bank. TD was a bank to be proud of with Lambert and Thomson...

(1) The advisor at 2518 Bayview Avenue Branch phoned me and made the appointment with me in June last year. But the advisor was absent when I arrived the branch for appointment. The advisor was unable to keep her promise.
And the manager at this branch did not provide me any alternation or other arrangement.
Very Frustrating !!!
(2) The Cantonese speaking lady, (financial advisor at 312 Sheppard Avenue East branch), Kelly Chong always mentioned "Very Busy, Very Busy, Only limit time for you." during the appointment on November 10, 2022 which I booked it online previous day.
This is not polite, no patience without good manner to the customer.
She needs to be demerited and to be laid off.
(3) On January 26, 2023 2:10 pm I visited 312 Sheppard Avenue East TD Canadatrust branch again. A male advisor (Mandarin speaking) came out and mentioned to me he needed to participate the bank meeting. I should wait for him 20 minutes after he finished the meeting.
I wonder the advisors, the representatives and the manager at the branch put their own internal meetings more important than a valuable customer.
This male advisor also mentioned he would let me have his direct phone number and email address. But I never received the information.
A person (customer) visited the branch personally spending the valuable time and came across this kind of treatment and response.
Terrible !!!
This really needs to do improvements of TD Canadat Trust customer services.
Especially, I am a retired senior now and I am the customer with TD Canada Trust bank and Meloche Monnex insurance for...
