We have bought many appliances here, and when we moved just over 2 years ago, we needed a gas dryer. We Also got the extended warranty. Five weeks ago, something happened to the dial and we could no longer start the dryer. We called the store and had to leave a msg. Then I called back 2 days later after no call back. I was told because of Covid they had so many calls that I would have to wait 3 weeks just for the technician to come look at it. So Iâve been hanging out my laundry. Weather conditions werenât always favourable for doing this either. Finally Sept 8th, they came. Their repairman showed up (NO MASK đˇ!!) and after seeing me with mine on, I was hoping it would trigger him to get his? Nope! I wish I wouldâve said something but I was so shocked and didnât. He came in and told me immediately that it was a cracked nob. Then tells me they will have to order one, and reschedule another appt to bring it. I was told approximately 1 week for them to get it. I suggested that maybe to supply me with one off another machine so I could use my dryer (in the store) and I was told no, they canât do that. Itâs a plastic nob. Why not keep extra on hand?Today has been 2 weeks!! I called Friday and was told I had to wait to hear from someone today. A lady called and didnât know anything about my situation and would have to call me back. Her attitude was awful and itâs not her job but she was made to do it. Very unprofessional! She was to call me back and I was waiting for over 2 hours and therefore called her back. Now Iâm told that the little plastic nob is on backorder until November?!?! No one called to inform me of this and itâs a lot of passing the buck. I have now been without a dryer for 5 weeks! No one is even trying to do anything to keep this customer happy. No communication! Bad attitudes during phone calls. Am I not allowed to show my discontentment?? And again, that service guy entered my home WITHOUT A MASK!! They expect me to wear one in their store! We have bought many appliances here. And they canât even supply me with a little plastic nob! Losing good customers over a plastic nob Gord! You need to hire more service people too. *Final comment: The service lady was to call me back after talking to someone on the floor about giving me a plastic nob off another dryer...that never happened either. No one follows through. And I guess thereâs no one in the floor helping people either. Iâm done waiting for ONE person to show any kind of...
Read moreSadly, to write a review, you have to give at least 1 star to start. It should be minus 5 stars! The product was damaged when delivered, and the fridge had to be serviced immediately because of an issue not working. I called today for a part that we need, parts person had no interest in customer service , argued and overvalued me repeatedly with I was explaining the problem. Rudest customer service I have had in my entire life. She kept overtalking me and insisted my temperature numbers were on the oven control know and not a decal behind them as they are. She ludicrously kept insisting I don't have numbered decals and then just hung up the phone on me mumbling something rude. Buyer beware, read the reviews! It's definitely not worth the drive to Essex! No offer of a solution after spending $10k! Never will I shop there again, and I will circulate this review to save others from the unbelievably rude and non- existent customer service. OWNER RESPONDED PRIVATELY after I posted my review stating that I was wrong , there are no decals behind my oven control knobs, that the numbers are on the knobs. He heard my conversation and heard the parts lady cut me off before she knew what I was asking for. He kept repeatedly stating the numbers are on the knobs. If they are not willing to let someone finish a statement, they will certainly never know what a customer is asking for. There are decals behind the knobs to indicate power settings and temperature, these are directly over the gas cooking area and are constantly spattered with grease etc and need to be washed. Because these are DECALS, they eventually wash off. See a picture of what's left of our DECALS, and notice there are no numbers or power settings on the knobs as I was arrogantly told!! Too bad he and she didn't even bother to listen. This is reflected throughout all the reviews. See Decals on stove NOT on Knobs, You can't just gaslight customers and tell them lies and that they don't...
Read moreAbsolutely do not recommend. I purchased a new stove that was supposed to be delivered today, the Saturday before Thanksgiving. They promised removing the old stove on delivery of the new one, & the kids that showed up today apparently couldnât do it. I showed photos & gave the measurements of my old stove when I purchased the new one. Itâs 25â deep, my doorways are 30â wide. They werenât willing to work with me at all, offered no help & no suggestions. Within an hour, I was able to find another company to come and remove it for $40. Essex still wasnât willing to work with me. Youâll get better service literally anywhere else.
In response to the owners: I gave the measurements & showed pictures to the salesman when I purchased the stove, he said no problem. When I spoke to your staff the day it was delivered, the only option I was given was to put it in a garage or shed, neither of which I have, and your drivers had already left. I hung up on no one. If you had simply offered to redeliver it, I wouldâve taken that option, as Billâs Appliance offered to take it out for $40 & was at my house within an hour. It just needs to be tipped on its side & strapped to a dolly. Instead, I went out to the store & was again treated rudely, even though the salesman had written removal on the receipt. The stove 25â deep, my doorways are 30â, hallway is 35â. I also had sheets to put down to protect my hardwood. The irony? Yâall have a similar model stove out for display in front of the store. Loweâs got my money, & theyâll take away the stove tomorrow. Congrats on losing a...
