The Shelburne Museums are a true delight! There are 4, 3 on Dock Street Shelburne and 1 in Birch town. The Droy Shop tells the story of how Dory's were the work horse of the fishing industry. At one time Shelburne had 7 Dory shops! Of course the Sydney Mahaney story just adds the this experience! Next is the Ross-Thompson House. This was the house & business place of the Ross Brothers and them Thompson. The beauty is when the Ross Brothers sold it to the Thompson's they actually sold it to Dorcus the wife! The Shelburne Museums is also fascinating. It is the home to the oldest fire pump truck in Canada! The museum does it's best to change up the exhibits every year. Birch Town is home to The Black Loyalist museum. This wonderful little museum is quite the find!! Please do not...
