This is Made — Local services in Vaughan

This year I have been making a conscious choice to buy local or from small businesses. I saw the Succulent Chocolates on their website and they directed me to This is Made in order to have my item shipped. As I live a far distance and they are not open on Saturdays. I placed an order for 4 smash-box chocolates and I will say, the product is beautiful and exactly what I wanted to gift people. Unfortunately, 2 of the items arrived broken. When I reached out to This is Made, I was advised that I did not read the fine print and the items were not returnable. I was even willing to commute to grab replacements. The items were not packed well: 4 items wrapped in bubble wrap sitting on the bottom of the over sized box where they most likely bounced around in transportation. It was a surprise not all 4 arrived broken. If it was packed more securely, I would have totally understood. Obviously I am extremely disappointed. I have my own small business (Havanaluxedecor) and the owner reached out to me to host a pop up flower shop every other weekend and I love doing it! The owners are kind, supportive & do a great job informing customers of each product. The owner is also a very popular blogger in vaughan and she has a great energy, makes everyone who walks in feel welcome and you can tell she puts a lot of effort into knowing each vendors products. This makes me very happy as a small business owner. She’s constantly promoting the vendors from her store on her social media platforms & puts honest reviews of the products...

I just want to say how much I love this place!!! I've been so many times and I walk out with something every time. This is Made houses sooo many different local businesses/ vendors that have the cutest handmade and boutique items. Also, the staff and owners are very kind and helpful, anything you need, they're willing to help out however they can. They truly value their shop and promoting small local businesses.
