Very disappointing experience. When I politely asked if everything was included in my order, the cashier raised her voice at me in front of other customers and said, “Look at me, look at me. Do you know how we are packing?” When I replied that I just wanted to make sure I had everything, she told me, “Don’t ask a question when you don’t know how we are packing.” This was extremely humiliating and disrespectful. I felt singled out because of my race and accent, and I left the store feeling hurt and unwelcome. Respect and kindness should always come first, and I hope management takes this seriously and improves customer service and cultural sensitivity
Thank you for your response. I want to clarify what actually happened. Yes, I returned briefly after delivering the order, but I did not yell or call anyone names. I simply asked politely what I did wrong because I noticed a thumbs down on my Uber Eats account, and I wanted to understand the reason.
When I asked, your staff said, “You know,” which was confusing and unhelpful. I remained calm, patient, and smiling while waiting for my order. It is part of my responsibility as a delivery driver to ensure I have all items in the order before leaving, especially because in my experience, sometimes items are missing and the customer then complains. I was only doing my job properly.
This was not the first time I asked if an order was complete; I always check politely at the front to make sure nothing is missing. You can check your security cameras to see that I was calm and professional the entire time. Ensuring orders are correct is part of being a responsible delivery driver.
If it is considered a “crime” in your place to make sure I am doing my job properly, then I accept that it is my fault—but I believe I was only trying to do my job responsibly.
I hope this clarifies my side...
Read moreIf I could give a 10 out of 5, I seriously would. THIS. PLACE. IS. AMAZING. Given I am from a British family, I have had ALOT of meat pies. Yet, no one makes meat pies like this place. I have tried some from all across Ontario, and only here are they absolutely flawless, and consistently so. The fillings are perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked, so that nothing is raw yet each vegetable retains some crunch so that the entire pie isn't just one mushy texture. The meat to vegetable ratio, and the filling to crust ratio is flawless, AND MY OH MY THE CRUST. I am personally preferential to a flakier crust, yet obviously a flaky crust is problematic in that it's prone to crumbling with a lot of filling. The pie crust here is the PERFECT blend of hot water pastry that lends structure and rigidity with flaky rough puff that adds depth of flavor. Not to mention the customer service. I have been here many times now, and Cassie IS ABSOUTELY DELIGHTFUL! She is more like a friend; always so sweet, helpful and knows all the pies in and out, allowing her to recommend new flavors to try based on your tastes that your bound to enjoy! I have yet to discover a single flavor that is unenjoyable. As someone who knows just how difficult it is to keep a meat pie to perfection once let alone consistently, the chef here is a true master and deserves more recognition then they are currently receiving. Cannot recommend this...
Read moreI am an apple pie addict! I seek it out anywhere I go. I have even found one that is actually better than Grandma’s home made apple pie.....the one from Sweet and Savoury Pie co. Is definitely not it! For the first time in my 37 years i couldn’t bring my self to finish a piece of pie! And usually i will get a pie to share and a pie for my self! Tonight for my Birthday 4 fork fulls of disbelief i threw out the rest! The pie both filling and pastry were inedible!
AVOID THIS PLACE! Beyond the horrible pie my wife also had a major customer service issue over our emailed order. instead of an apology or reconciliation she was met with insult, blame and excuses. Blame over an order placed through email where it was clearly their mistake.
Now in response to the reply i have received....there was no other staff who joined in to rescue your part timer. She was offered to come back the following day not to access another location. She did have to get aggressive as she had to escalate to demanding a refund for the butter tarts. Skor and pecan are not plain and would definitely be something someone would ask for if that is what they were ordering.
Glad to see the customer service is systemic and not isolated to...
