So many trails and paths to choose from. Nice view of the river and creeks. Birds galore! Vast vegetation. I've never seen so many different types of trees in one park setting. Nice biking trails. Play structure for the kiddos. Non stop shop for your in the city "outdoors". Across the other side of the river from King's park. Connects to Bois Des Esprit's as well using the south St vital pathway. Beautiful anytime of the year!

Came here with some friends during autumn and wow is it ever beautiful! We saw so many people taking wedding photos, pregnancy photos, and all sorts of photos! I mean I would too, this place just has a feeling to it. A great place to go on a walk with a significant other or some friends to just chat and have a great time!

I absolutely love this park! It is gorgeous in all seasons, and there are far more small trails than the map suggests. It is lovingly maintained by the foundation, volunteers, and the City. It is also easily accessible from the road, with a parking lot and small interpretive centre off of St. Mary’s. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed walking along the Henteleff Park Trail to Normand Park on a weekday evening.

The trailhead has a small parking lot with picnic areas. The trail continues on a gravel and dirt path along the river, with some nice views along the way. There are multiple off-shoot trails and I liked the narrow one closest to the river. You can keep walking through a grassy field that connects the trail to Normand Park, and then ends at a residential neighbourhood and returns back to the trailhead. The trail led through mostly forest and it was peaceful. There was one section of forest with quite a few tent worms hanging from the trees, so watch out here (I nicknamed it the "forest of horrors"). Once the worm season is finished, this will be even more lovely.

Would recommend this trail for a nice urban...

This park used to be the old City of Winnipeg tree nursery, and has been converted into one of the most splendid and idyllic parks in the city! Some of the original and mighty tree stands still persist, the riverbank trails are peaceful and alive, and the tall grass prairie area is home to many wildflowers and has a network of trails! One will find themselves passing through the park many times and will always find something new - to the "witch forest" of dead tower poplars, to the hidden clearing in the shelter belt on the southwest side! Have...

I love walking this park several times each week. Walking along side the river in winter is priceless. In so many ways this park merits a five star rating BUT I’m giving it a four star rating because of all the dead wood (standing and fallen) as well as the practice of discarding vegetation (shrubs, weeds and grass) by summer staff. Eventually the conditions will be right for a very hot unmanageable fire. That will be the result of poor management. NOT...
