Solana Lifestyle Mall has its charm—it’s not your typical massive, concrete shopping centre. It’s set next to Chaoyang Park and has a beautiful European-style layout with cobblestone paths, fountains, and a small lake. It almost feels like you’re walking through a storybook town, especially in the evenings when the lights come on. The atmosphere is calm and scenic, which makes it a nice place for a relaxed weekend stroll or a casual date. There are plenty of familiar international brands here—Zara, H&M, Uniqlo, Sephora, and even Apple and Muji. There’s a pretty good mix of dining options too, from places like Blue Frog and Din Tai Fung to Wagas and Heytea. If you’re coming with kids, there are indoor playgrounds, a cinema, and even an ice skating rink, so there’s enough to keep them entertained. Some of the play areas could use a bit more attention in terms of cleanliness though. That said, there are a few things that pull the experience down. First off, prices here are noticeably higher than in other places, and for what you’re paying, not every store or restaurant lives up to expectations. It can feel like you’re paying a “lifestyle tax.” Also, it’s not the most convenient mall to get to—the nearest subway station is a bit of a walk, and if you’re trying to grab a taxi or Didi, especially during busy hours, good luck. On weekends and public holidays, the place gets seriously crowded, and that takes away from the otherwise chill vibe. Service can be hit-or-miss depending on which store or restaurant you’re in. I had a great experience at Heytea and Lululemon, but others weren’t as welcoming. Some of the water features around the canal area can also smell a bit during the warmer months, which kind of breaks the illusion of being in a serene lakeside village. Overall, Solana is visually beautiful and has a nice mix of shops and things to do, but it's not without its flaws. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a visit, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to make a special trip. Nice for a walk and some light shopping, but be prepared for crowds, high prices, and a few disappointments.

SOLANA is near the Beijing embassy area, so the main language here is English. There is a large supermarket in the mall, and many imported goods are sold here. It is very close to Chaoyang Park. There are not many people on holidays, but there are many people on Saturdays and Sundays

Solana is a beautiful indoor/outdoor mall with lots of shopping options. The shopping includes a nice grocery store, several children's stores, restaurants, and other apparel needs. Aside from shopping, you can take a casual walk along the river with picturesque views of the city as a backdrop. If you go out night, the mall typically has seasonal decorations that light of the area and really make the walk enjoyable. The area also conveniently offers a parking garage for easy access. It is also directly across the street from the famous "Lucky Street;" which is also full of great restaurant options. It is...

New mall, cold weather, perfect day to stroll around. There were white pigeons at the mall park. They weren't afraid of people at all, and fly away only when you get too close. Otherwise they just continue to walk, jump, fly low here and there. The mall had a nice design. With big brands facing the outdoor 'street'. Toilets were also mostly western bowls than squats. Guard was nice. I asked him for directions and he was so happy to help even when I can only speak a little 汉语. Overall, a nice...
