Absolutely nothing special about this hotel at all....||It's on a back-street with lots of run down and disused shops and properties and looks quite sad from the outside.||The rooms were ok... Bed was a reasonable size but quite 'compact' and fixtures and fittings were 'wobbly' i.e. not the best quality.||As a note... some of the rooms don't even have windows and the Air-conditioning is noisy...||||The breakfast was terrible and rarely had much food left... and almost never had cups, cutlery or glasses. BUT to be fair this is probably due to the organised tour we were with and the 'canteen' obviously could not cope with more than 30 people wanting to have breakfast at the same time. Which for a supposed Hotel is also a bad sign...||The 'coupon' based entry to get your breakfast is also a sign of lack of trust in hotel guests... why not just check the room nr and/or room key like most other hotels in the world ??||||Hotel staff don't speak English so might be a problem for some... It's China after-all so why should they ;-)||||The location of the hotel is ok... North-East of Beijing City centre and only takes about 20 min to get into the centre by Taxi (Without No Traffic of course).||||I may be a bit harsh with the rating but it really is the worst hotel I have stayed in for many years. Even a very basic Travelodge or IBIS...
Read morei have stayed at this hotel with 2 of my friends from 27th/Oct-29th/Oct. We found this hotel while we were walking to embassies district. We did not have any reservation, so we asked from receptionists were on duty about any rooms available for 3 of us. They offered the rate which was very flexible for that time and let us check in kindly so fast. it was our first time in Beijing, so we did not know how we should go to embassy and how we can charge our Chinese phone number. For my experience of previous hotel, staffs do not speak in English, fortunately there was female receptionist /Danny/ she helped us a lot and charged our phone units. She was so kind and helpful like real hospitality staff. ||Last night of the stay at hotel, we tried several choice of cocktails at STIR cocktail bar, we really enjoyed all of the cocktails we ordered and it was great to see how they made it from their heart and taste it. ||Also the day when we checked out there was one male receptionist kindly let us check out at 3PM with good rate. i would definitely offer and stay at here again if i...
Read morewe were in this hotel for 2 nights from 30th April-1st May. it is a very budget hotel and not even close to a 3* category but they take pride in calling it a local 4* hotel. The hotel lobby and rooms are very average and though it is centrally air-conditioned it was put off and there was no ventilation in the hotel which made us very uncomfortable. When we spoke regarding this with the manager he told us that it is a government order and they cannot put the air condition on, this was a surprising shock for me as i have never heard anything like this in my life. They say it is a 4* hotel but it did not even have dishes for the guest, we had requested some dishes in the room to eat snacks but the room service said it is helpless as the hotel does not have any for the guests, it is only provided in the small restaurant in the hotel while having breakfast or meals. the only good thing about the hotel was its location and proximity to...
