Pearl River Night Cruise Ticket Office — Local services in Guangzhou City

You are a fool if you don’t take a night-time river cruise when in GZ. The light show from numerous buildings, bridges and boats is amazing!!

The boat itself is a bit underwhelming but I don’t think any of the other choices are better.

The boat is clean and the staff pleasant but the food options are limited and below average and the drinks are OK. is OK; drinks OK. A continuous loud commentary dominates the air.

Really there is the potential here to have devices that you control to learn what you want (culture/history/ architecture …) in your preferred language or a chat with your friends or contemplative music.

Cocktails and a much more interesting food list would really add to the experience.

The different decks could be used more creatively - food floor; dimly lit floor to give the lights outside their full potential; even dancing on the stage could be an option. Kids friendly zone with a child minder or games; river/boat toys? Many...

I took an evening river cruise when I was in Guangzhou recently and it was an amazing experience. I got my tickets at the counter located near the base of Canton Tower. The crew here was very helpful and polite and they spent time answering questions from tourists about the cruise itself. After getting the ticket, I was directed to the pier which is less than 10mins walk from the ticket counter. Despite the large crowd, the team at the pier was efficient and got all of us boarded quickly. Light refreshments was served onboard during the cruise. I sat at the top, open deck. Enjoyed the breeze and night lights on the massive buildings along the river. View was great especially with a close up view of Canton Tower. Definitely must go for the 3rd level open air seating to enjoy the experience ( provided weather is cooling and not raining). There are a few boat cruise lines but many share the Tianzi Ferry terminal. The terminal will be crowded as it is a small place with too many boat rides running within an hour.
