DB North Plaza — Local services in Hong Kong

North plaza is less busy than south plaza, but it has the essential things like grocery store (Welcome) some stuff are better to buy in welcome than Parknshop in south plaza actually. Like some fruits and other snacks that parknshop maybe doesn’t have. There’s a hairdresser, I personally prefer this hairdresser compared to the one in south plaza. There’s a lot of tutoring workshops and kindergartens upstairs. There’s Epicland, big play area good for birthday parties. It’s also near the sea so you can easily access the beach, the entrance is a bit hidden but where you access the beach, go further down and you’ll find the stables for the horses! Some restaurants here too but they’re not amazing, the pizza place has too much grease in the pizza to me. The hotel is nearby, and there are horse carriage rides. There's a laid back feel about 'Disco Bay' . For those who reside permanently or just visit on a day trip it's a pleasant experience. We're surrounded by great walking territory, an abundance of F&B outlets , bakeries,Drs, a dentist or two and a Vets as well. It's becoming over populated with dogs now as witnessed by frequent ' Adopt a dog' displays in the Plaza. Owners are leaving their pets as they leave the Island. Generally the community runs smoothly by and large. Not enough sports fields or facilities yet to accommodate activities for kids and adults alike.. With new immigration check point opening in 2018/19 at Tung Chung one should expect more visitors and potential property buyers from HK populace in HK Central able indeed North of the border within next 2-3 years. Discovery Bay North Plaza is home to a Wellcome store, 7-11, a hair salon, property agencies, other convenience stores, sporting goods, educational services and various other salons and spas. There is an indoor playground called Epicland. Most of plaza-level offerings are food and beverages and they offer outdoor seating options including Uncle Russ Coffee (a hometown company), Starbucks, Paisanos Pizza, Jaspas, Mirch Masala, Top Chef, Calimex and Gilmores(the most recent to open).
