2 Stars for the 1 kind and happy person who took/placed my order. If he were the cook, my experience would have been completely satisfying for the money it cost. To eat here again, I'd have to be on an alcohol induces stoopper (to mask the horrible taste of same "reused grease" cooked food).
Ordered loads of different dishes for 7 who shared between us. Visual it was all different, taste wise....not so much! 3 EZ to please kids of the group disliked the food more:
FRIES were greasy x10, CHEESE BURGER broken to pieces; held together by melted cheese broken by HUGE slices of onion, tomatoe and pickles under soggie bottom/puffy top bun. QUESADILLAS...meat/cheese only at top half, middle to edges were burnt to a crisp and falling all apart. FISH TACOS tasted like fries, which tastedd like fried chicken, which....single seasoning and days old grease. RIBS - once severely frozen, half thawed and undercooked.
In the end, piles if food ended up in the garbage, with the same love/care with which it was prepared....NONE! I've never eaten lots of something that tasted like each other...close to nothing!

Read moreWe decided to try CaliMex on Monday evening, they were offering 2 for 1 fajitas, the food was fantastic, very tasty, arrived steaming hot and decent size portions, we’ve lived in Mexico for over 7 years and I have to say these fajitas were quite impressive and the side of guacamole 🥑 was nice and fresh! Can’t comment on the other dishes, we only tried the Fajitas but I would definitely recommend them, and will certainly be back again with the family. I’ve seen some negative comments regarding the service overall ours was fine, nothing outstanding but ok, considering it’s not a fine dining experience and keep in mind restaurant staff wages in HK are quite low and tips are often not offered to the staff, so probably little incentive to go...
Read moreDespite saying online that the place closes at 23:30, it became very clear that even though we arrived by 19:45, they had zero interest in serving customers (we watched them turn 6 people away) and told us immediately after ordering they were ready to close the kitchen. The food arrived and made me wish I had cooked El Paso fajitas myself. Repeatedly telling us it was time to go was also extremely rude. We had come out for a family meal and felt chased out from the moment we sat down. I very rarely leave negative reviews but I think others should be aware before parting with their hard...
