If you are new to china and nervous about going to local restaurants, but want to get your hands on some of the local cuisine, this is a great place to go. Its easy to find, located in the heart of the expat district of Kunming, and is often very full. Very little seating is found downstairs, so often you are upstairs in the loft which has an extremely low ceiling. We stumbled across this cramped restaurant in a street next to the Green Lake. There was a great selection of dishes on the menu and we chose 4 of them. We really liked our cumin beef and mushrooms with broccoli. The fried goats cheese was ok but we found the hot and sour mixed vegetable soup far too salty and ended up leaving most of it.
