Green Lake Park 翠湖公园, Kunming 昆明, Yunnan 云南 is about 30 minutes by Didi from the Kunming Station 昆明站. Best time to visit is in the morning when the sun is not hot. Free admission. Be mindful that the weekend can get a little crowded with locals.

Admire the beautiful architecture of the pavilions and bridges from the Qing dynasty. Enjoy the sun and breeze as you watch Siberian sea gulls take off in the wind. After spending 2 hours or so, walk and visit the nearby “old streets” for cafes, restaurants, stalls, and local shops.

Fact check - Correct literal translation of Cuihu 翠湖 should be Jade Lake - somehow it has been anglicised incorrectly to...

Walked around the lake and park on a Sunday. Enjoyed the cool morning and seeing lots of activity at the park. Many different things happening - families with kids, dogs, people exercising, playing badminton, dancing, doing taichi, feeding the fish and ducks.
