A great little coffeeshop and café situated not too far from the Green Lake. A magnet for tourists and expats alike who come for the western food and drink. Burgers, including the vegeburger, are extremely good, and a welcome break from the typical fast food served up by the likes of McDonald's, Dico's and KFC.

The waffle, which was served with ice cream and chocolate sauce, was a little salty, like someone had mucked up the batter mix. On complaining the waitress explained that it was supposed to be salty!!

Prices are reasonable by western standards, though perhaps a little high compared to local restaurants. Comfortable, with friendly staff, and there is a large bookcase of books which one could browse through, although the downstairs dining area is a little on the dark side. It’s hard to explain how much I like this place. The staff feel like family to me. The owners are both great people who have created a hangout for local Chinese and foreigners alike that feel somewhat like “Salvador’s Social Club”, open to everyone and closed to none, with a menu just about that broad, appealing to vegans, vegetarians, carnivores, dessert and beer lovers and inclusive of Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican and “down home ‘merican” alike.
