Carrefour — Local services in Shanghai

As my hotel is round the corner, I've been to this store many times and I like to single out a particular incident on the 4sept ard 1pm. I was searching for mooncakes with eggyoke.. I can converse basic Chinese but could not read.. This very friendly sales lady was v observant and immediately offered assistance.. She was very patient and explained to me the word to look out for and proceeded to show me which were the mooncakes with eggyoke. I thanked her, made my selection and proceeded with my shopping..

At about 15mins later, at a different level, the same sales lady came searching for me with my umbrella which I had forgotten and left behind. Although it's only an umbrella which doesn't cost much, her dedication to the job, helpfulness and excellent service was very impressive. I told her that I will write a good review on her and ask for her name. She was initially reluctant to provide her name as she felt it was her job. No air-conditioning ..The higher level u go the hotter it becomes. The heat in the supermarket ( level 3 ) was terrible. Such a unpleasant experience shopping there. I would like to spend a little more time checking out the local stuff but the heat just killed it. was sweating while looking at the shop items, couldn't focus well. Employees inside the mall are just suffering from the heat, could get heat stroke walking in and out of...

Sadly the place had past its glorious moments and is pretty much deserted nowadays.

The entire mall is not air conditioned due to the central cooling system under carrefour is not turned on. It can get stuffy after a while and felt sorry for the staff there.

The selection are very limited with only one floor left compared to the previous 2 levels.
