I’ll start by saying that this place does not live up to standards when it comes to customer service. The service at the restaurant was slow and the waiters paid no attention to details. We had to ask the waiter for our order three times over the course of more than an hour. And he kept insisting the food was being prepared. No courtesy was provided for the tardiness.
The owner was also unbelievably aggressive and rude, and incapable of dealing with customers. He argued that the tardiness was not an issue and how there were other orders before ours that hadn’t been served — ie proof of even worse service for others. We will not be returning here. He took our complaint very personally and did not apologize for the shortcomings. We are very nice people and easygoing people, so this treatment took us by surprise.
I DO NOT recommend this place at all. They need to fix their attitude and then we can talk. Do not go...
Read moreLast restaurant at the end of the beach, so minimally fewer people. There are sellers everywhere and when you are on the beach you can smell gasoline almost all the time because of the many boats. The beach is also not very wide / deep, so that the crowds are not well distributed. From 4 p.m. it becomes emptier and more pleasant.
The restaurant is a bit overpriced and offers full-time meat and fish, no vegetarian dishes. But the staff was flexible and prepared a vegetarian rice dish and it was delicious. But there were very long waiting times for the drinks and dishes. The toilets were very dirty and the flush in the women's toilet did not work, so you had to pour a bucket of water.
The staff will take care of free loungers on the beach - if you...
Read morePlaya blanca is 1 hour away from Bocagrande by car, it is indeed a beautiful place with Crystal clear water and white sand beaches, even though the Sandy part of the beach was greatly eroded by the last big storm that the area endured. The service provided by the attendants could not be better, they are very concerned about the guests and their enjoyment of the place. The one thing that takes away from the enjoyment is the almost constant stream of vendors and massage ladies who are obviously trying to make a living. As to the reviewers that complained about this being hard to access and sort of "primitive", perhaps an all inclusive resort is what they need. I think that the fact that it is out the way adds to the charm and...
