El Novillo Alegre Santa Ana — Restaurant in Pozos

Used to be a big fan. Something in the service of this place changed dramatically. I have no problem spending on good service and good food but when the service level drops there’s no recovering. I bring mom once in a while, but sadly never again. The waiter brought bread, but non plates, I had no fork and no plate so I ended up grabbing one from the table next to me. Normally we are offered water, none anymore. We ordered apps no problem, but then the waiter never came to get our main dish orders and then we saw him leaving for the day. Sad face. Once the other waiter saw the menus still on the table he came over and took our order. Food came and there was a huge difference in portion size and quality. I have been to two of them! one in Santa Anna today and one in Escazu a few weeks ago . Both places are extreanly good, offering Wonderful Argentinian delights . service is very good great selection of wines the Restaraunt is good for casual or dress . the staff is very well trained and the. Chef and cooks are concistent . As a former Chef I find this very appealing. as I do not know of anyone who goes to a restaraunt finds somthing they really enjoy to come back, and have it not taste the same. Wasn't expecting much from this restaurant and I have been pleasantly surprised. You find a wide price range with plenty of cheap or reasonably priced items as well as high end products which do not disappoint your mouth. The meat was excellent and melting on the tongue, cooked to my taste, the sauce of great quality, lits of choice for sides...
