Our Spanish being limited, Charles the owner went out of his way to help us with the finer points of the menu, his hospitality and that of his staff were excellent. We first split a brisket sandwich which was excellent, I followed that up with a burger which was simply the best I had in Costa Rica. However, another interaction with a different server was a different story. It's a well made burger but nothing to write home about. The craftsmanship was there, it was well cooked and constructed, I would give them that. The brisket was very dry. The ribs were ok but they committed the same sin I've seen other restaurants do, drenching the ribs in bbq sauce. It just makes the ribs taste like meat diving in ultra sweet syrup.
