Děčínský Sněžník (723 m n. m.) je naší nejvyšší stolovou horou. Je vzdálen asi 7 km západoseverozápadně od města Děčína a na jeho vrcholu stojí pěkná kamenná rozhledna s penzionem. Děčínský Sněžník Vás upoutá jak svým okouzlujícím výhledem na Lužické hory a Česko-Saské Švýcarsko, tak zejména pro své unikátní proudění vzduchu. Díky termickým stoupavým proudům kolem stolové hory se zde mísí proudy vzduchu až od Severního moře, pro jejichž blahodárné účinky bývá toto místo nazýváno „Větrné lázně“. Hora, tvořená svrchnokřídovými turonskými pískovci, je téměř celá zalesněná, většinu jejích svahů pokrývají smrkové porosty, v menší míře se vyskytuje borovice, modřín a buk, pro vrcholovou část jsou typické i břízy a jeřáby. Vrchol hory zaujímá rozlehlá plošina o rozměrech přibližně 1600 x 600 metrů, mírně se sklánějící k severovýchodu na německou stranu.

Děčínský Sněžník (723 m above sea level) is our highest table top. It is about 7 km west to the north-west of Děčín and there is a nice stone lookout tower with a guest house built on it´s top. Děčínský Sněžník will captivate you with its enchanting view of the Lužické Mountains and Czech-Saxon Switzerland, but also for it´s unique air flow. Thanks to thermal climbing streams around the mountain table, air flows from the North Sea with local flows, creating so-called "wind-spa". The mountain, made up of turquoise sandstone, is almost entirely wooded, most of its slopes are covered with spruce vegetation, to a lesser extent pine, larch, beech, birch and crane are also typical for the top part. The highest hill (or mountain) in the area. Surrounded by forests from one side and valley with village from another. It's remarkable for well-preserved and absolutely wild nature and astonishing views. There are a couple of view points on the hill, which are actually rock cliffs of amazing shape. Für mich eines der beliebtesten Ausflugsziele im Elbsandsteingebirge. Der höchste Tafelberg ist zu allen Jahreszeiten sehr zu empfehlen. Bis auf eine Wintertour habe ich zu allen Jahreszeiten diesen Berg schon erwandert. Am letzten Wochenende das frische Grün an einem schon sommerlichen Frühlingstag sowie die herrliche Aussicht waren besonders phantastisch. Vom Turm hat man einen herrlichen Rundblick. Ebenso der Blick vom Plateau mit einer sagenhaften Dresdner Aussicht und an gleicher Stelle erkennt man die markanten Tafelberge der Sächsischen Schweiz. An einem anderen Ort dann der Blick auf endlos viele vulkanische Kegelberge im Nachbarland Tschechische Republik. Die gastronomische Betreuung ist hervorragend und das Verweilen wird hier einfach zum Naturerlebnis. Da ist Entspannung, Spaß und Erholung angesagt.
