There are only two outlets in Prague, POP (close to the airport, a premium outlet mainly of luxurious brand stores with a scarce offer of restaurants) and Fashion Arena (on the other side of Prague, in Štěrboholy). Fashion Arena is bigger and offers more pleasant prices compared to POP. There is a nice restaurant zone with a big terrace as well as a chillout outside zone. The Fashion Arena is designed in the shape of a running oval, fully protected from rain where the shops are. Not only can you shop here comfortably and for reasonable money (there are also year-round discounts of 30-70%), you will also find a quiet room in which you can relax during the day, borrow a book, etc. You can rent a power bank here for free, only for a refundable deposit of 500 CZK, there is also luggage storage, and free Wi-Fi. There is also a supervised children's corner. To get there, take buses numbers 181, 182, 183 to Průmyslová, or a shuttle bus from Depo Hostivař, which will bring you directly inside the Arena. You can bring your unnecessary clothes to the stylish KLOK.TEX container which further helps where...
Read moreThis is a really good place to mooch around the factory outlets. Large range of outlet stores, Nike, Ecco, Addidas etc, some are 40% cheaper than equivalent shops in Prague centre. Lots of parking in the centre, it can be reached from Prague on the Green line metro (terminus Depo Hostivar) and then a free bus {5 mins} from Depo Hostivař metro terminal. There is small but good food court for lunch at very reasonable prices and a Costa Coffee etc. Well worth a visit if want to wander around shops without the Prague tourist crowd as it is mainly locals and ex-pats that use it regularly. If you have a car, there is another huge shopping mall called Europa Park about 500m away, it's not walkable because of the main road which is not pedestrianised. Europapark has a massive food court, Asian, Indian, Czech, MacD, Baguette Boulevard, loads of coffee and cake...
Read moreWe take a metro to DEPO HOSTIVAR (last station of green line). Then, hop on free shuttle bus to fashion arena outlet (frequency every 20 minutes). About 10 minutes distance.
The outlet was very easy to navigate. It was in a circle, like a stadium with a central area were carpark.
Interesting outlets are Adidas, Polo, Lindt, and swarovski. Less interesting are Nike, mango, and others. It was not so interesting because of fewer choices and lesser discounts.
Tax refund and vip day pas can be done at the information centre, which is located besides the foodcourt and level +1. Food court can be a good place to hang out while waiting for spouse shopping.
Most popular stalls in foodcourt are the wrapnroll that offer to eat all you can buffet at 220kc. The choices of buffet were not that much but good to fill...
