I've had the 80% bar back in New York where it's sold close to $10 each. Here one bar costs less than $5, which is also slightly cheaper than other local coffee/specialty shops that carry the brand. There's more varieties with better dates and generous sampling too. If you also like the deepness and acidity of the 80%, I highly recommend the cassava and the rum. The cocoa tea was also nice. Definitely regret not buying more now that I'm back in NYC.

A passion and a love for chocolate that is contagious!!

Meeting Jens, his team and his Definite Chocolate has launched me in an adventure of discovering the magic of chocolate. The same enriching experience that I get from wine, I now have from chocolate.

I have participated in 2 workshops, one for pairing chocolate with coffee and another to learn how to make your own chocolate truffles. Amazing!!

After these workshops, I can now impress my guest with an original dessert that isn't high in sugar or complicated to make. Just a simple piece of Definite Chocolate with a great cup of coffee or a liquor. Also, on my day to day, I now have a ritual of enjoying chocolate after dinner or in my coffee break. Taking a few minutes to discover the different notes in the chocolate is a great way to enter into thankfulness and gratitude.

Finally, Jens has not only imparted a love for chocolate, but a love and appreciation for the cacao that is produced in my homeland, Dominican Republic.

I was only going to be in Santo Domingo for about 12 hours and wanted to get some chocolate to bring home for gifts. I reached out to Definite to see if they could help me organize a delivery to my hotel and spoke with Jens, who was incredibly helpful. I received excellent and efficient customer service, and when I arrived at the hotel there was a box waiting for me exactly as promised.
