The Abbey of Saint-Mathieu de Fine-Terre is a former Breton monastery, whose ruins are found in the territory of what is now the commune of Plougonvelin on Pointe Saint-Mathieu, in the département of Finistère. The Abbey gives the cape its name. It was dedicated to Saint Matthew the Evangelist, whose skull it housed.

Un superbe lieu, avec une vue imprenable. Il ne reste que les murs de cette église mais à côté du phare et du sémaphore ultra connecté le décalage entre les monuments est finalement splendide et donne une atmosphère toute particulière à cette ancienne abbaye. Visite faite un matin avec un...

Visite faite un matin avec un levée de soleil.

Bella passeggiata tra le strutture dell'abbazia, la costa, i bunker e il faro. È stata un ottimo modello sul quale abbozzare una chiacchierata con il mio bambino sulla rampante ed elegante statica del gotico... come se non fossero rovine, ma un cantiere ancora in costruzione!

Bella passeggiata tra le strutture dell'abbazia, la costa, i bunker e il faro. È stata un ottimo modello sul quale abbozzare una chiacchierata con il mio bambino sulla rampante ed elegante statica del gotico... come se non fossero rovine, ma un cantiere ancora in costruzione!
