This place is a SCAM, A RIP OFF, A DUMP! Don't take my word for it, here are some reasons from the top of my head:
Regardless of what type of shorts/etc you have, they're not ok, staff tells you "sorry you're not allowed in those. But don't worry! You can buy the correct ones from our boutique!" but no explanation why not. Worst part is they tell you this only after you paid, when you're inside and already showered and wet, so you don't have any choice but buy their swimming suit.
The WC doesn't have a toilet seat. In the men's room if you want to sit you have to sit directly on the wc (which is full of everyone else's urine), and you don't have anything to at least wash it with.
They don't allow you to bring anything inside, not even slippers (and the floor is very cold), towels, something to drink or eat (not even a small snack). Their argument might be hygiene, but read #2 and #4
There's no place to rest between spa pools, just some marble uncomfortable beds (and as mentioned you can't even put a towel on them, not even in the sauna, so you'll just have to sit in everyone else's sweat).
Some of the zones/saunas don't work or work incorrectly. For example, one of the pools was supposed to have 32 degrees hot water, but when I stepped into it I almost had a heart attack due to the water being freezing cold.
The hair dryers are on the walls and flow air vertically down, thus you need to stick your head on the wall so you can dry up.
And much, much more. I'll never go...
Read moreDear Les Grands Bains du Monêtier,
We had been looking forward to a relaxing day at your spa for weeks. We had made a reservation and were excited to unwind and enjoy some much-needed pampering.
However, our experience at your spa was not as we had hoped. When we arrived, it took us 30 minutes to find a parking spot. We were already running late for our appointment and were feeling stressed out.
When we finally made it to the spa, we had to wait at least 30 minutes in the queue before we could be enter. Also we had learned we needed to buy mens swimwear, but not told the price of those in advance.
We tried calling the spa to ask if we could move our appointment or get a refund, but the phone went straight to voicemail. We were frustrated and felt like we had wasted our time and money, 46 euros for two people.
Feeling disappointed and frustrated, we left.
We understand that things don't always go as planned, but we feel that it is not too much to ask for a refund when the service could not be provided as promised. We hope that you will take our feedback into consideration and work to improve the customer experience at your...
Read moreAbsolutely overcrowded and not worth its money. The pools are old and dirty: in hammam the drainage doesn’t work, so everyone sits in brown pool (all dirt and bacteria to share between visitors). The regular swimsuit is not allowed for unknown reason - you must wear a Lycra (are they sponsored by Lycra? Never met this weird requirement in any other alpine terme). Everything is charged extra - proper sauna=extra; half an hour more =extra. The place was open till 22:30, but at 18:00 the boutique and restaurant both got closed. Surprised they didn’t oblige everyone wear a cap, as the pools are full of someone’s hair. Very unorganised, anti sanitary and not advised. As an add on my wife got this unknown itchy thing (see photo), which probably would need a separate cure. Avoid at all cost, unless you are comfortable sharing common bath with 500 unknown people with unknown diseases, but all...
