From CenterVille Murat the hike was easy … except for the final ascent from the highway as the leaf-covered trail was wet and muddy in places; I was thankful for my hiking poles. Once at the Church, the view was lovely of the surrounding valley of fields with grazing cows, small villages and Murat. The cemetery had a service going on when I arrived so I climbed the adjacent hill and got the bonus of even better views! The chapel itself was closed and had a construction fence around it as it undergoes an exterior “facelift” so I hope to return in the future.
