Bamyan Market — Local services in Berlin

I love this shop. Have been coming here regularly for five years, it's like stepping into another world :* The staff is great and they have a great, ever-changing range of items! Awesome vegetables, too :) BUT - and it is a massive but - the shop is inhabited/infested by moths. Live moths flying around, but more importantly, laying their eggs everywhere. In most items you bring home from Bamyan, you will find moths at varying stages of life. Eggs, cocoons, worms, beetles and fully grown ones. They're in the flours, spices, nuts, wrapping/cardboard of other items. If you don't already have moths in your house, you will after buying an item here. Meanwhile we only buy the veggies there now, hoping the moths won't hazard to lay their eggs in them ;) It's a real shame because the shop really is great. But buyers need to know this beforehand :(

They provide certain services that are limited to the eastern part of Berlin, such as Halal meat (sheep, veal, beef, chicken, turkey, etc.), fresh bread, products from Iran and Afghanistan, and high-quality fruit. The staff are kind and well-behaved.

As constructive feedback, their products are comparatively expensive. Additionally, for example, if you want your meat minced, they do not do it in front of you. Instead, they take your meat to a separate room and return with minced meat, making it unclear whether it is the same meat...

I love to buy stuff at this store. The Staff at reception is full of attitude 🙄. Except for the staff at reception, all the others are super nice, even the owner is very helpful. I'm a regular customer at this store, unfortunately, lately, I've been having trouble at the counter 😐. I had to buy things up to 10 euros to pay with the card. I did buy it, but sadly 😥 only 7 cents were less. I had only 10 euros in my Card. I couldn't buy something for 7 cents, I had to leave, what I bought. Bad experience 😪 ...
