Very scenic beach. One of the most scenic in Crete for sure. However, the 3 star review comes from the staff.

My personal opinion is if you're English speaking only and from the West, your experience here will be average at best. My girlfriend and I arrived at the beach and saw 2 free beach chairs. Nothing on them, no signs whatsoever indicating they were reserved/being used. We went to sit in them, only to be told that they were "reserved" for someone coming later. No time given, just that we couldn't sit there. This was midday on a Saturday, so of course the beach was busy and packed. Many people had to sit at the restaurant because there were no free sunbeds. My girlfriend and I decided to stay in the chairs, unsettled, as we didn't know where else to go. Amazingly, within 10 minutes the reservation had showed up, but "no longer wanted the chairs" so we were able to have them. Again, just a sketchy experience overall in regards to this system of "reserving." The only assumption I can make is it was reserved for friends of the staff, which as a tourist, rubs me the wrong way if this is supposed to be a business.

Nonetheless, after this the experience was mostly positive. The food is fantastic. I highly recommend the chicken souvlaki and beef souvlaki from here - both amazing. Only other odd experience involved the wine pricing - the menu states 5.50/glass of red, white or rose, but when leaving, we were charged 7/glass. Not the biggest deal in the world, but would be nice to be updated.

Again, fantastic beach, beautiful views. My girlfriend did end up getting a seaweed rash from a rock in the water, but this could potentially happen...

Beach itself, I mean sea, structure etc, very very good. The beach bar’s menu looks great and prices are very reasonable…. If you can be really really patient to stuff. Definitely no. Especially ladies who are work for beach bar, there is no word to define how rude they are. 1- all of them on their mobile phones all the time. Asking something or trying to order something seems, make them very disturb. 2- unhappy customers makes these ladies very very annoyed therefore they are not acting solution oriented they are very ready for fight. (I tried to take things easy cause in any case these people are working very hot weather but no! 1 of your lady stuff ignored my effort to be kind and she respond my request very interesting and obvious lie which I dont want to write here.) Tip for management: people are people. Everyone deserve kindness. If your stuff act with an easy “please excuse us and let us fix things for you” sentence, can be change many things. Also if there is no place except reservations, you can easily close your doors to random visitors. Greece Islands people are very famous about kindness and hospitality. This place like out of greece...

Overall, poor hygiene, and bad practice. This place should be (and probably is) illegal. I am not going back again and other should probably avoid it too.

The sea was very dirty with rubbish from the beach bar (disposable straws, paper napkins etc). If you ever go there be prepared to swim around them.

We ordered food and drinks from the beach bar. The quality of the food was acceptable but nothing exceptional.

However, on top of that they charged us a 20€ fee for the seazlong without informing us about their prizes first. This information is not displayed on a board or their website, just in the receipt.

This is a very poor practice, especially considering that they are using the whole place as their private property, not giving anyone the option of using their own equipment (which is illegal in Greece by the way).

Finally, there are toilets and changing rooms. Outside the changing rooms there are brushes to dust of the pebbles. This might seems as a smart idea to some people but I couldn’t help but think how...

Really nice beach with bar providing good drinks, good coffee and some snacks like sandwiches, souvlaki, salads with a nice terrace and music. I recommend everyone to come here, Michaelis is nice as well. Sunbeds with umbrellas available for 7 € (2 beds incl umbrella). Pebble beach, crystal clear water, really nice for snorkeling especially to the left. We saw crabs, baby barracuda, swarms of fish (thousands!!), rocks forming caverns etc. Not too crowded and mostly visited by locals. Accessible only by (good in shape) stairs down the rocks, parking at the cafe upstairs. They do have toilets, but only upstairs in the cafe

A different choice close to the city of Heraklion! Here you can expect during the week days a very quite beach with a nice bar. There are a lot of comments that is expensive but if you compare it to the surrounding beaches it is about 10-20% more expensive (sunbeds 7€). When it comes to beach itself after some stairs you reach a tiny beach with small stones instead of sand and simply a beautiful view! On your right hand the whole city of Heraklion and on your left hand a venetian Fortress! Simply amazing!
