Etele Plaza — Local services in Budapest

Shop itself is very nice and spacious. However the parking lot became a real trap on Sunday afternoon (around 5pm). When willing to pay for the parking, the parking machine was saying the ticket was damaged, while nothing was wrong with it. When trying to contact somebody with the button on the parking machines (tried several of them), I just got some automatic auto reply. When calling to the parking phone number mentioned in Etele web page (in parking section), there was no one answering. When finding some service point icon in the info map, we went to find it on the -1st floor, but there was no service point or it was closed on Sunday. When going to the info point in the shop, it was just an info display without any human being. So after spending 30 minutes for all this entertainment we just drove up to the parking exit. We found out there was a parking guy sitting (this facility was not marked in the shopping mall map), who simply collected the ticket and told that he will open the gate. Happily getting into the car and going to the exit gate, which however did not open. Waiting for a minute and then heading back to the parking guy. Lady in the car behind me then started knocking on her windshield and pointed to the parking gate. And phew, there it was, finally open and allowing us to leave the...

First of all: I like it. Everything is OK, I could think only small improvements. E.g. the staff in the toilets usually speak pretty loud (ladies in the men's place) that is still OK but it's a bit wierd, the trash bin for paper towels are a bit smaller than it could be (or they should be emptied more frequently) but the overall experience is still OK for me. The elevators are like in a sci-fi movie (I mean a cheaper one that you can like with some creativity but you can see the reality behind the scenes if you want). Some shops are really good others are like the average. If I asked about the main negativity of this mall I would say I miss something special, something unique. It's like an average Joe without strong personality (yet) :-) All together it's a high quality and nice place to shop or to hang around with friends, you will find every service you could think...

Parking Ripoff! When you enter via the parking entrance, a sign says you get free parking for an hour if you dowload the app. But its only after you park when you can download it if you dont want to block traffic on the street in front of the entrance. But doing so will disqualify you from getting free parking because that according to Etele plaza's policy should be done before you drive in. I've recorded an official complaint at the information desk but ignoring the law they never got back to me with any compensation nor an apology. To add insult to injury I went there on a Sunday when the parking is free in the neighboring streets but they still demanded money from me. Worst mall parking in Budapest.
