Easily one of the best breweries I've been to, anywhere in the world. I was in Souvik with a small group, semi-snowed in as the first real winter storm came through the Westfjords. We sent a quick email to their generic inbox, asking if they might be able to open early for a tour and some drinks. Gunnhildur (the owner) wrote back immediately, welcoming us in the next morning. The tour was fantastic--the brewery's origin is fascinating, the decor is perfect, and the drinks are excellent. We got to meet the entire family running things there and can't say enough good things about them or their beer. I'll definitely be back,...

A planned stop as soon as we found out where and when the cruise ship would stop. Very easy to find and get to. Small microbrewery. Flights or full pints. Lots of options to choose from. I was happy with each of my tasters (Djupid, Dynjandi, Skarfur, Ginger Amber) and the following full pint (Chocolate Stout). Patio with scenic views of the Trolls Seat. I had passed earlier so I managed to take a peek into the side doors and see a bit of the operation. It didn't open until either 11:00 or Noon, but our ship was in for the afternoon so I just timed my visit to shortly after they opened. Busy place with both locals and...

What a wonderful surprise to find such a great brewery in this little port town. After exploring the town, we made this our last stop of the day, and we were very glad we did. The joint was packed (most likely with the other people from the cruise ship) but service was still fast and friendly. There were no seats available inside, but plenty of seating outside and since it was such a beautiful day I am glad that we were out there. Unfortunately, we did not get any food, but it did look delicious. We stuck with the IPAs and they were spot on. This brewery visit was one of the...

Great brewery. We stoped here just before dinner and wish we had more time. They do serve food but we didn’t order anything. Fun modern atmosphere with plenty of seating, and outdoor seating is available as well. Friendly bar staff that serves the beers perfectly cold in a glass, and quick service. We tried one of their IPAs; the Dynjandi IPA and we were very happy with the taste. They do provide flights so you can try different beers. We enjoy local breweries and trying different local beers during our travels, and this was a great a great brewery to visit. I would definitely recommend stopping here.
