Recently, I had the opportunity to travel from Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA), boarding an IndiGo flight to Bhubaneswar from the Domestic Terminal. From the moment I entered the terminal, I was genuinely impressed by the cleanliness and maintenance of the airport. The level of hygiene and organization here is truly commendable — no matter how much appreciation you give, it still feels less. The staff was extremely courteous and guided us smoothly throughout the check-in and boarding process. Their professionalism added to the overall comfort of the journey. What amazed me even more was the punctuality. Despite SVPIA being one of India’s busiest airports with significant air traffic, our flight took off exactly on time without any delay. It was possibly one of the best private air travel experiences I’ve had so far. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is not just well-equipped with modern facilities, but also reflects the spirit of Gujarat — warm, welcoming, and efficient. Do Not Travel to Gujarat from March to July, the heat is very very very High.

Thought of various options of traveling to Ahmedabad ( by road by train ) finally we decided to take the flight from chennai hence we happened to travel through the domestic airport.

Airport was neat, clean, felt the airport was a bit smaller to chennai airport but lot more organised than chennai airport. Public facilities like toilets, lift, escalators were good, neat and all in working condition. Signage's were clear and well lit.

Various shops selling various items including a pharmacy were there inside the terminal.

What we loved the most or enjoyed the most was the way they remembered their Great Sons of their soil, am talking about Shri. Mahatma Gandhiji and Shri. Vallabhai Patel.

Though i am not a big fan of Shri.Mahatma Gandhiji, but still i was very impressed and felt very happy at the way they remembered him by allocating some space for his photographs and for his well renowned teachings.
