Subway Ahemdabad Aiport — Restaurant in Gujarat

The very basic appeal or marketing pitch of subway has been around healthy fresh food. You get loaded veggies with choice of sauces and you add veg or non-veg stuffings as per your choices.

So in the morning of 4th of July at Ahmedabad Airport domestic terminal, I was looking for a "healthy" and yet filling eating option and I come across "Sub-way". Happily I come over here, ask at the counter to help me with a "paneer tikka" sub with extra cheese, loads of olives and jalapeno, dash of onion, few slices of tomato and cucumber etc etc. Basically if you have been to Sub-way before, you know the drill.

With my sub ready and a diet coke also in my hand, I made myself comfortable in one of those seats at Ahmedabad Aiport which apparently have cushions. Anyways, then came a big moment, my first bite of the sub and I felt something stale in the sub. Another bite and I understood right from veggies to panner everything is beaten down as if cut open ages ago.

Surprisingly shocked at taste I opened by sub and saw that veggies had a worn look. Then a good customer as I am, I go to the counter and enquire why taste is so bad for the sub and are veggies not fresh. The answer and the delivery both stunned me to the bones. "Well all veggies are cut 24 hours ago and as kept in open they taste and look old but actually are fresh as these were cut only 24 hours ago".

I am not nutritionist, but I think the honest answer above probably speaks the volumes as to how Sub-way is making a fool out of Indian customers. Huge turn-off for me and I will have to say, I strongly advise people to stay away from such chains who in name of healthy food chain are actually...

Ahemdabad airport domestic is the worst airport I have seen. There is no restaurant available. All the airports have facility to have proper food. Today we are talking about having Bullet Train. I request current govt to have proper facility at the airport and then go for Bullet Train. Airport is not clean, we talk about Swach Bharat. Surprisingly 80% of the counters refuse to take credit card and we talk about cashless.. specially BJP govt in Gujarat ... it is indeed a pathetic experience. This state has BJP govt for past many years.. and the dream is like having world class city.. There is lot of noise because every 2-3 minutes public announcement is on... so if you are going to Ahemdabad domestic airport then gharse...

Worst subway outlet I have ever encountered!!!

The lettus was pale yellow and so old that I had to request them to replace it, but even the one they had in stock was same --- pale yellow and at least 2 weeks old. I had a long day ahead so I had to eaty veg Shami without lettuce but if you can avoid it, please do.

The staff did not have the basic courtesy to apologise or make up for the poor quality food.

Plus the price is double the usual considering its airport, which is sort of expected but at least they should be serving good quality in the exorbitant price...
