The place is worth paying a visit if you love spending quality time beside the water body with your loved one. This is one of the most well known budget romantic getaways for local couples. It however needs a lot of repairs and maintenance. Apparently there were boats in the lake which no longer work and are dumped at a side, there were small cottages in the lakesides most of which are broken and lying abandoned, benches are there most of which are broken and unattended, street dogs are entering the park, hygiene is not taken care of properly, proper maintenance of the location is missing, I am appalled to see how these people don't even clean the water for the fishes kept over there. I would say that this is the best place for couples to get cozy in Kolkata, hands down. The place is huge and there are no other people to annoy you, only couples who are busy with their job wink. The entry ticket is ₹30 per head and there is parking available. Just get enough food and water and spend the whole day here. The place remains open till late in the evening unlike other parks. In the evening, romantic music plays throughout the park.

The only downside is that the nearest bus stop is Chingrihata and one have to walk about a mile from the park entrance to...

A cozy place to spend your evenings in the winter which turns into a green paradise during the monsoons. Open from 10-7 pm, can be reached via bus, close from bypass dhaba or chingrihata bus stop. Though fooding option is not great, but few snacks are readily available. Sitting by the water during the sunset with your special one is an unforgettable experience here.
