It gives me a mess pleasure to write this testimony of what I have experienced at the Fortis Hospital, Mulund where I have visited with my wife for pregnancy’s procedure. It is our first baby after a long journey of married life. My wife is a patient with chronic Blood pressure and during pregnancy it got worse, she was almost breathless and in additional to this she had severe pain due to swollen Legs. In Fortis Hospital, firstly we met Dr. Sangeeta Raodeo, Gynecologist who is extremely sympathetic and admirable personality to meet with as she ensured all timely actions to be taken for premature delivery of my wife as a result of it; we have been blessed with a boy baby. Even Nursing Staffs namely Karishma, Nikita etc were prompt in providing all medicine prescription on time for speedy recovery of my wife’s post delivery. Due to premature delivery, our baby / new one was low weight. Then Dr. Jesal Sheth, Senior Pediatrician, NICU Ward, Fortis Hospital swung into action alongwith her team and took all timely actions / protocols necessary for the well being of our low weight baby. Dr. Jesal Sheth Madam apart from being a Doctor is a charismatic and energetic personality, what sets her apart is not just her technical expertise but also her compassionate approach towards the Infant babies in her NICU Ward. There was also outstanding support given by Nursing Staff and Intern Doctors of NICU Ward, who works under supervision of Dr. Jesal Sheth Madam, to name few Dr. Nafisa, Dr. Megha, Dr. Anjali, Dr. Ana and Nursing Staffs OF NIC to name few Aarefa, Sulakshana, Sandra, Sharin, Karuna, Reshma, Gautami, Manisha, Gayatri, etc., who works under the vigilant supervision of Tito Madam, Head of NICU Ward and least known and vital to say that Cleaning Staffs who ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene condition on the 10th floor, which is especially kept reserved for Pregnant ladies and Infant babies admitted in the Fortis Hospital. Dr. Jesal Sheth’s counseling sessions were very important to attend as she assisted us in understanding behavior pattern of our baby and clarified several queries therefore; we are and will be in continuous touch with her for our baby's Medical assistance in future. From the bottom of my heart, I and my wife are thankful to all the Doctors (Dr. Girija Suresh, Dr. Anita Mathew, Dr. Sameer Sadawarte, Dr. Sharang Ravindra Wartikar Dr. Sweta Budyal and Staffs of Fortis Hospital, Mulund, who medically treated and took care of our baby and brought a proud, memorable and auspicious moment in our married life by handing over healthy baby in our empty Hands. God bless all. The Nursing and supporting staff are very courteous and takes care of all the minute requirements very well. Would like to thanks Ms. Apurva Kadam, Sneha Madam from TPA Department for being prompt and helping us through all the documentation works in...
Read moreNegative Rating and Complaint for Fortis Hospital, Mulund (Maternity Services) (Terrible) I am writing this to express my absolute disappointment and serious concern regarding the maternity and delivery services at Fortis Hospital, Mulund. The experience during my time there was traumatizing, unprofessional, and significantly compromised the well-being and dignity of the patient. Staff Misconduct and Harassment During Delivery The most shocking aspect was the harassment and immense pressure placed on the patient and family during the labor process. While the patient was actively delivering and attempting a natural birth, staff members created a hostile environment by: Making loud, disruptive noises and creating a commotion. Verbally pressuring the patient to hurry up. Threatening to force a C-section with statements like, "Do a C-section and clear it; we don't have that much time," and "We have other patients, empty the room and go." This behavior is completely unethical and unacceptable, especially in a maternity ward, and made a difficult process frightening and undignified. Unnecessary Pressure for Tests and Procedures Despite both the mother and child being fit and fine, the hospital staff consistently used fear tactics to push for unnecessary tests and procedures. Staff repeatedly told us, "You have to do this, or else we are not responsible if anything happens," in an attempt to coerce us into accepting additional, unneeded interventions. This practice is medically questionable and financially exploitative. Subpar Service and Untrained Staff The overall service was extremely poor. The staff who came to check on the baby regularly appeared untrained, leading to a lack of confidence in the care provided. No proper service was rendered, making the post-delivery stay stressful instead of supportive. Billing and Administration Issues We also encountered problems with the administration, including the generation of wrong and inflated bills. This added stress to an already difficult situation, forcing us to spend time disputing charges instead of focusing on the new mother and baby. Terrible Quality of Food The provided food was terrible and of the worst quality. For a hospital, especially one catering to new mothers, the diet and nutrition should be a top priority, and Fortis Hospital, Mulund, failed miserably in this regard. Conclusion Based on our experience, I would strongly advise against choosing Fortis Hospital, Mulund for maternity and delivery services. The combination of unprofessional staff behavior, harassment, pressure for unnecessary medical procedures, poor service, and billing issues makes this the worst hospital in Mulund for...

I was admitted to Fortis Hospital, Mulund, for a surgery under Dr. Pankaj Maheshwari. I must express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team for providing exceptional care and comfort during my stay.
A special note of appreciation to Dr. Pankaj Maheshwari, whose calm, kind, and confident approach truly makes healing faster. His professionalism combined with a warm, reassuring attitude makes him an outstanding doctor. My sincere thanks also to his junior, Dr. Kartik, who was always available, approachable, and handled all my concerns with great patience and care.
On the 6th floor (Room 6011), the nursing staff were exceptional in their duties and compassion. • Siji, the head nurse, managed everything efficiently with quick decisions and perfect coordination. • Jobi, with her lively and cheerful nature, brought positive energy to the ward. • Hanna and Dona were attentive and caring in their service. • Alphy, on night duty, stood out for her professionalism and her ever-present smile, which truly eased patients’ worries. • Megha, on day duty, ever lively , communicated wonderfully and performed her duties with enthusiasm and positivity. • Ritika, the support nurse, also deserves recognition for her helpful and sincere assistance.
The TPA team deserves mention as well for their quick and efficient handling of billing and documentation.
Every single person at Fortis — from the security guards to the support and housekeeping staff — carried out their duties responsibly and courteously. One instance that stood out to me was when a ground staff member politely refused to accept a tip, which reflects the integrity and quality of the hospital’s workforce.
Overall, I am extremely happy and satisfied with my experience at Fortis Hospital, Mulund. The hospital’s cleanliness, facilities, and especially its compassionate staff made my stay truly comfortable.
Thank you to the entire Fortis team for their care, commitment, and professionalism. I wholeheartedly recommend this hospital for anyone seeking quality healthcare with a human touch.
