Food Studio, Mulund
Now, thatβs a name that puts a smile on the face of many foodies in the city. It is located at Mulund-Goregoan Link Road, and quiet famous of a landmark.
They have designed the restaurant to give an ultra luxurious feel and is lit with warm lights which compliments the decor beautifully. They have installed projectors which lets you enjoy your food with live sports. They have special seating arrangements for groups or for your special occasions, you will just have to get it reserved from them. The atmosphere inside is pleasant and warm, and it really gives you a complete dining experience and will keep you wanting for more. They had their very own beautifully made waiting area but was cut out due to road widening. They have valet service, so donβt worry about parking.
When it comes to food, let me guarantee, they have maintained it to its excellence. I prefer dining in Food studio, whenever Iβm in Mulund and I am visiting this place for more than 10 years now. They are a multi-cuisine restaurant and I am listing some of my favourites, in case of any confusions just go with them and you will love me for this suggestions Veg:-

The place is extremely accessible right on the Malad Link Road and is easy to spot. The ambiance is well spaced out in different sections with the bar tucked away in a corner. Hanging tungsten bulbs, a funky jukebox and sports screening add to the package. The staff is polite and welcoming. The menus were digital in tune with the regulations. The range is diverse and you are spoilt for choice in terms of food and drinks. We had :
Guava Mary : Guava based juice with peppery punches and a chilli soaked rim. Sour and spicy !
Kiwi Cooler : Best team up with the other mocktail, this one is sweet, fresh and refreshing.
Black Pepper Chicken : Soft chunks of chicken tossed in a black pepper based thick paste giving it a spicy south Indian feel.
Tandoori Murgh : A solid starter by all means, the chicken was perfectly grilled and was so moist, flavorful and succulent just the way we like it.
Chicken Tikka Sizzler : A combination of veggies, herbed rice, fries and chicken tikka in hot garlic sauce, the sizzler was appetizing and left us wanting for more.
Butter Chicken : Creamy, delicious and slightly on the sweeter side, we paired our butter chicken with garlic naan for an amazing combo. The portion could have been better though.
Sizzling Brownie : The classic brownie was soft and gooey with the right amount of chocolate sauce served with a nice scoop of vanilla. Loved it !
The waiting time between orders is perfect. The place has a laid back vibe and is great if you want to visit in big numbers. Mr.Karbir who served us on the day had some great suggestions and was always available when we needed him. They also had offers on specific days which looked like a steal.
To sum it up, The Food Studio is everything you think it would be and more. Would surely recommend for a great dining...

As I'm seated the music is too loud so I call the waiter 3 times and then he shows up and acknowledges to turn down it down a bit. That 10% service charge just hit my thought process.
Now I want to order and I scan the menu QR but I cant find Masala Papad as the design of the menu isn't user friendly (I'm a web developer so I have an eye for these things) and the music is too loud so I ask the waiter for a hard menu. To my dismay they don't have a hard menu :) and now I'm thinking about my choice to try out this restaurant.
So I go ahead an order a side dish (masala papad) and while I'm waiting I check out the reviews on Zomato. Funny thing , most people who have close to 0 following rated the restaurant 1-2 Stars and those with a good following of 200+ have given it Absolute 5 stars. Not 4 or 3.. Just 5 Stars. Something smells fishy (pun intended)
The one's with 1-2 stars talk about various issues with the place which I relate and except few talk about bad quality of fish and mutton as to how its quality is substandard.
I cannot make this up , within 5 minutes of my reading the reviews, a table beside mine returns a dish which looked like crispy fingers. When I asked them they said it was fish. :( What are the odds ?
At this point I'm defensive about my dinner experience. I pay for that masala papad , 55rs (Yes 10% service charge ofcourse, hey #dontGrudgeIt) and leave to the decent place I know and have that biryani.
My Recommendation : If you're the kind of person who cares about the ambience then its a good visit. There are plenty of other places...
