Read morePlace is nice. However, with everything else that has gone wrong in this rotten year, so has this institute's restaurant. They have recently started dine in only for lunch; dinner's still off limits. However, on the day we went, it was diwali, and they didnot have any dining patrons when we reached around 1400h. The staff was hence extremely relaxed and though they said the restaurant was open, the steward (or whoever, he was), wasn't sure if they had enough ration to cook for the nine of us. He went and asked someone and then came back to us to inform that they can arrange lunch, but only as takeaway (for whatever red tape reason). They showed us a menu on which indian and continental dishes were listed but again we were informed continental wasn't available as the chef who prepared the dishes, is not there (? he went home... or walking towards home.....or got sick and admitted .... or died?). Concept of the Restaurant: The decor of this restaurant is based on the beating the retreat ceremony which takes place post Republic day celebration. So when you visit this restaurant you will find drums, biguls, trumpets and bagpipers hanging on the wall, which truly define the concept of this restaurant.
