Terrible Experience at AGS Cinemas Navalur - Stay Away!
I recently had the displeasure of visiting AGS Cinemas in Navalur, and I must say it was an absolute nightmare. From the moment I stepped foot inside the theater, I encountered a series of disappointments that left a sour taste in my mouth.
First and foremost, the most egregious offense was the quality of their popcorn. I attended a morning show, expecting fresh, hot popcorn. However, to my horror, what I received was nothing short of a crime against cinema-goers. The popcorn I was served was clearly stale and tasted as if it had been left out overnight. It was evident that AGS Cinemas had the audacity to serve me night-baked popcorn during a morning screening. This is not only unappetizing but also unacceptable.
The lackluster service further compounded my dissatisfaction. The staff seemed disinterested and unfriendly, showing no enthusiasm or willingness to assist customers. When I attempted to voice my concerns about the popcorn, I was met with indifference and shrugged-off responses. It was evident that customer satisfaction was not a priority for the management.
Additionally, the overall cleanliness of the theater was deplorable. The floors were sticky, indicating a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance. The seats were worn out and uncomfortable, which made the movie-watching experience even more unpleasant. It is evident that AGS Cinemas Navalur lacks the basic standards of cleanliness and hygiene that one would expect from a reputable cinema.
To make matters worse, the sound and picture quality were subpar. The audio system crackled intermittently, disrupting the immersion and enjoyment of the movie. The picture quality was blurry and lacked the sharpness one would anticipate in a modern cinema.
Overall, my experience at AGS Cinemas Navalur was beyond disappointing. The night-baked popcorn, combined with the apathetic service, dirty premises, and subpar audio-visual quality, made it one of the worst movie experiences I have ever had. I strongly advise against visiting this cinema if you value your time and money. There are far better options available in the area that provide a superior movie-going experience. AGS Cinemas Navalur has a long way to go in terms of improving their standards and customer service before they can be considered a reputable cinema...

I recently visited AGS Cinemas and unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed with the overall experience. Here are the reasons behind my two-star review:
Poor Customer Service: The staff at AGS Cinemas seemed disinterested and lacked basic customer service skills. I had a few questions regarding the movie timings, but they were unresponsive and appeared annoyed by my inquiries. It was quite disappointing to encounter such an unprofessional attitude.
Uncomfortable Seating: The seats in the theater were uncomfortable and in need of an upgrade. The cushions were worn out, and I could feel the springs poking through. It made the entire movie-watching experience quite uncomfortable and distracting. Considering the ticket prices, I expected better seating arrangements.
Lack of Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the cinema was subpar. There were empty popcorn boxes and discarded food wrappers left behind by previous viewers. The floors were sticky, and it seemed like they hadn't been properly cleaned in a while. It's essential for a cinema to maintain a clean environment to ensure a pleasant experience for the customers.
Technical Issues: During the movie, there were several technical glitches, including sound disruptions and screen flickering. It was frustrating to experience interruptions that disrupted the flow of the film. These technical issues significantly impacted my enjoyment of the movie.
Limited Refreshment Options: The concession stand had a limited selection of snacks and beverages. The prices were quite high for the quality and variety offered. I expected a wider range of options, including healthier choices and better value for money.
Overall, my visit to AGS Cinemas was underwhelming. The combination of poor customer service, uncomfortable seating, lack of cleanliness, technical issues, and limited refreshment options left me dissatisfied. I hope the management takes these criticisms constructively and makes improvements to provide a better cinema experience for...
Read moreI would have visited this screens more than 50 times since 2015 but never again.
We visited Ags Navalur today to watch Mission Impossible, but our experience was a letdown. Unfortunately, the whole family (myself, my wife, and my son ) fell ill after lunch and couldn't eat for the rest of the day.
The food quality was subpar, particularly the French fries, which tasted awful. Moreover, the decision to serve drinks in bottles and store them in the refrigerator was questionable.
I gotta appreciate the mind behind the setup / Layout of the premises too (pls don't fail to catch my sarcasm).. one side for entering , one side for billing , opposite to collect popcorn , inbetween to collect fries and sandwiches .. why can't you add an underground tunnel to crawl for screen and for exiting you made the guests to walk around the screen.
I saw a sign board which stated pregnant and old people can use the lobby , what about sick people, physically challenged , what about small kids , sleeping kids , cranky kids , and thier respective attenders
What's more concerning is the behavior of the floor manager/supervisor. He seemed to be constantly rushing around, and his actions raised suspicions. At one point, I saw him bringing in juice packets from the area where customers are frisked, which was alarming.
The management needs to investigate this staff member's activities and ensure that customers' safety and satisfaction are prioritize.
Or else it is understood that you lost your interest and zest in this business segment and you will merely survive as. Last resort for south chennai.
I choose to ignore rather escalating these issues in my social...
