Read moreYesterday my dining experience at Dindigul Thalapakatti was nothing short of regretful and disappointing. What was once known for its authenticity and rich culinary heritage now seems to have lost its essence.
Yesterday, I was served stale food, which I had to return and get replaced with another dish. Unfortunately, even the replacement did not live up to expectations. The preparation overall felt very ordinary, lacking the signature authentic taste that this brand was once known for.
The Kodaikanal Chicken Kulambu was particularly disheartening — it tasted sour, and instead of coconut milk, curd was used, which completely threw off the flavor balance. The chicken itself was marinated in vinegar, leaving behind an unpleasant aftertaste.
The Thalappakatti Veg Biryani was drenched in oil, making it heavy and unappetizing. Meanwhile, the Chilli Paneer Gravy was nothing more than paneer pieces floating in watery gravy, bland and uninspiring. To add to the disappointment, my tandoori roti was oddly served even before I had settled the bill.
Sarcasm in service is never a substitute for hospitality. As a customer, one expects warmth and professionalism, but instead, I was left with the impression of indifference and mockery.
Overall, the experience was deeply unsatisfactory. A restaurant with such a celebrated legacy should hold itself to higher standards. Sadly, the visit has left me questioning whether I would ever want to return or recommend...
Read moreI bought 4 items from Dindigul Thalapakatti in Navalur branch at 7.30 pm today Fried rice, black pepper chicken boneless, kothu parotta, nool parotta, etc. When I opened the black pepper chicken, I smelled a foul smell After that, I thought I would have something else to eat and took it to my mouth. It was very stinky. It was about 5 days. I think it was contaminated. The chicken was destroyed. It was very stinky. I could not take it to my mouth or nose. If I call the person in that branch, he will not give me a proper response. Okay? I did not ask anything. I asked him to take his food and give me money. Because I regularly I am disappointed that I could not get a quality food for my customers. I have forwarded this to the food safety department and I am planning to submit this to the CM cell. I have taken samples of all the food items. I am not getting any compensation for this. I am going to take the food as per the law. ok? Even if I don't get this money, it's ok ok? I will think of begging for a branch in Navalur wearing a Dindigul...
