Three of us visited Kalea Spa recently. We’re regular spa-goers and have been to many places, so this review is meant to help the spa improve.

What we liked: • The massage techniques were really good. The therapists knew what they were doing. • They offered transportation, which was super convenient. • Prices were reasonable. • Staff were responsive and easy to deal with.

What needs work: • The aircon was way too cold. Even after i mentioned it, nothing changed. All three of us were shivering the whole time, which made it hard to relax. • No proper system for footwear. My wife ended up wearing the therapist’s slippers, which isn’t very hygienic. • The curtains were not fully secured, so there’s a risk that someone could accidentally see inside. That’s not okay, especially for female guests. • The massage oil wasn’t warmed up, which made it feel even colder. • The towel used at the end was damp and cold. Not ideal after a massage. • The lighting was too dim, not in a relaxing way, but more like the place wasn’t well maintained. • We also noticed used disposable masks left on the table, which raised concerns about cleanliness.

Overall: There’s potential here. The staff are skilled and the price is fair. But comfort, cleanliness, and privacy are big parts of the spa experience, and those areas really need attention. Considering that they receive quite a number of muslimah customers , it would be great for business if they can cater to the needs of this group as well. When we reached Kalea Spa on 12 sept, the ambience and the receptionist were very nice and pleasant. The receptionist was warm and friendly and she recommended some nice EO for our massages. We did facial massage for the first 30 mins and it was splendid & relaxing. The room was clean. However, our radiant package spa and massage session in a different room were horrible. When we first entered the room, it had a weird horrible stench, like a dried urine. The smell was pulsing throughout the whole session. The smell of the lulur was also horrible. It smelled like it's being kept decades old and smelled sour. We weren't sure if it was also a mix of the cloth that were covering our body too After applying the lulur. It was uneasy and unpleasant for us. After the shower, we were given a bathing towel. MY GAWD IT SMELLED SO HORRIBLE I GAGGED and almost puked. I requested for another clean towel from the masseuse and the towel still smelled horrible. The towel smelled as though u hadn't sun dried the towel and has a damp horrible smell when u didn't dry it properly. I had to use my tissue paper instead. Lol.
