Three words: Take. This. Tour. I was initially skeptical because the price was so reasonable and s a solo traveler, I wanted to be safe. But after reading another glowing review of Indra’s work, I was convinced and I hope this review convinced the next potential guest too. After initial booking, Indra was very responsive in helping me design my private tour. He took into consideration everything I wanted to see and do, and was very good about communicating prices, times and options (food, tours, etc.) with me. When he picked me up in the morning of our tour, he was EARLY and his car was clean and the air conditioner worked great. Indra was very friendly and open to talking about all kinds of things. He is very knowledgeable about Yogyakarta region, informative at the temples and answered all of my questions. He was very courteous and polite, but also open, interesting and fun! He is also flexible with the schedule during the tour. For example, I wanted to get coffee mid-morning between temples and he made it happen. I also wanted to get local food for lunch and he made that happen too — and it was delicious! When we got done a little early with the planned itinerary, Indra graciously take me to a couple of extra places so we would spend as close to the 12 hours listed for the tour as possible. Indra goes above and beyond in service and courtesy. You cannot go wrong with booking him for a tour of Yogyakarta...

Save your money and got to Borobudur Temple yourself… it is really worth the effort… the guide there is employed by the museum… not the tour company and is very informative…then do same for any other temples you are interested in It’s only $45 to hire a driver in Yogyakarta for the whole day…10-12 hours The Merapi Trip is embarrassingly bad… “Lost World Museum & Stonehenge” are absolutely pathetic… you do not see the volcano… merely the edge of an old lava flow After this it was 3.30 in the afternoon… and I decided to call it a day and didn’t waste any more time The driver was just that… nothing else…basically a taxi service to some places like Merapi were awful Also be careful where they take you for lunch… they obviously use same one… and have some sort of arrangement… so you get taken through batik and silver shops etc etc… the restaurant bill created another bad feeling about the company and the day. You will notice many positive reviews… they are in many cases .. drivers… employees and family I suspect… from their profiles $200 was a complete rip off … &80 for temple was on...

We had the best time at our batik mask making class with Sesawi tours! Our hosts were kind, knowledgeable and accommodating, everything you want in a tour! We learned so much and had a fabulous time making our batik masks! The lunch afterwards was also delicious and overlooked a rice patty.

Sesawi tours can accommodate any tour in the local Yogykarta area at a far price as well as extended multi day tours around Java and East Java. I only wish I would have met them sooner and I would have booked all of our Java and East Java experiences through them! I can only recommend 100%!
