Ayam Kampung Goreng Kebon Ndhelik Bausasran — Restaurant in Yogyakarta

The Special (two chicken pieces with choice of breast, thigh or head, accompanied with white rice, sambal, tempe) is so delicious! The chicken isn’t oily, fatty and perfectly fried. The kampung chicken is nicely seasoned, tempe is more like tofu and lightly salted and drinks on offer are the usual options (e.g. iced or hot juices, tea, lemon, etc.). The surrounding is lovely with indoor/ outdoor seatings in joglos surrounded by simple garden landscaping. Service is friendly and one server spoke good English. We were informed this place is also frequented as a homestay by foreign tourists e.g. Australia, Russia, etc. We came here for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised :) nice calm, peaceful atmosphere amongst the sounds of the garden and homestead happenings either the mosques singing...

A hidden but spacious outlet of the popular Kebon Ndhelik food chain. I had lunch with my wife enjoying rice, a fried local chicken upper leg, eggplant chops, crispy fried ox lungs, sweet iced lemon, and iced tea, ... perfect. We also took home a fried local chicken breast and iced soursop juice. Cool dining joglo buildings and gazebos. Inexpensive. Good free WiFi. Clean restrooms and musholla with washing place. A parking shelter for motorbikes, and a spacious parking...

They serve Javanese food. The place was great, tranquil and the interior was so ethnic. The staffs were friendly. It is a good choice for family lunch. I also recommend this place for reunion group. It is located near Malioboro. From what I saw, most of the visitors were citizen of Yogyakarta. I think it would be better if the management advertises it by social media to attract...
