This is not the first issue with this Lin Kee, but leaving a review this time to teach myself a lesson, We order as a family of 4, the last time we ordered we got a black bean and a black pepper, the 2 dishes were the same sauce, not at all tasting like they should, and far too much sugar, very sweet.
This time we gave the benefit of doubt (we really shouldn't have) Once again ordered as a family of 4, black bean in the order and a szechuan dish. Once again the black bean was a complete let down, veg wasn't fresh, Peppers wrinkly on the sides onions soggy no crunch and for the black beans that should be included in the dish, there was none, not one. The sauce was sickly sweet worse than last time and although the chicken was covered in sauce it was so dry. The szechuan was also far too sweet no depth of flavour, no spice. Absolute let down, It had to be binned. €50 on feeding the bin. And the Absolute audacity to charge 2 euro extra just to order online....
Read moreI've decided to edit my original review which was a 5 star and 6 yrs ago. Since 2020 I've witnessed Lin Kee nose dive with their portions and their tastes. Firstly it wasn't any way near spicy, there was zero amount of spice, then the supposed ingredients were lacking what is printed on the menu, no marinated pork and 1 tiny shrimp, 3 slices of carrot & 3 slices of green pepper, no beansprouts or egg whatsoever 🤔 seriously it was tasteless, less than bland and very diffucult to eat. At least with a spice bag you know there are chillies in it. It deters me from ordering again and I have been a...
Read moreTook 1 hour and 40 minutes for the food to get here. I get it's Friday night but if it's going to take longer than the estimated time of 45-50 minutes, ring me and let me know, transparency and communication is key in this industry. We rang them endlessly with no answer as they took the phone off the hook.
Eventually the food got here when I finally got through to the service desk and all she gave us was a meager 15% off our next order even though our food was barely warm and took double the estimated time.
Absolutely despicable and completely let down from somewhere that we order from frequently and is usually super consistent.
I don't reccomend Lin Kee on a weekend as they're "too busy".
Thanks for the abysmal meal, really let down the...
