Ashford Oriental Chinese Takeaway — Local services in The Municipal District of Wicklow

I had a disappointing experience with Ashford Oriental Chinese Takeaway that I feel compelled to share. I ordered Chinese food through Just Eat, expecting a delivery time of 30- max 45 minutes. After waiting for over one hour, I called to check on my order, only to be met with a dismissive response from the staff member who answered the phone saying 'it'll be there when it's there kind of thing'. It felt like they didn't care about my situation, and I was left feeling frustrated and hungry. One of the main reasons i chose this place over others was due to the delivery time advertised.

15 more minutes go by, so at this point we're at 1 hour and 15 minutes... When the food finally arrived—over an hour and 15 minutes later—the delivery woman gave off a very rude and unpleasant demeanour. She was seemed visibly annoyed, unfriendly and kind of flung the delivery at me without saying a thing. There was no apology for the delay, which would have been a simple courtesy. Instead, glared at me in a very unfriendly and rude way, as if my inquiry (when i rang the restaurant checking on the order at the 1 hour mark) had upset her. This lack of basic customer service is unacceptable.

I understand that things can get busy, but waiting this long for a takeaway is not justifiable, especially when the restaurant sets specific delivery expectations. Takeaways are not cheap, you get it as a treat for something quick and easy. Unless you're me and have to wait an hour and nearly 20 mins and get very rude treatment and no customer service along with a hefty bill. This was a horrible experience.

Chicken with cashew nuts and egg fried rice. Hard to go too far wrong there you'd think? Sadly I was very, very wrong in this instance. This was the worst I have ever tasted & I feel strongly enough to be writing this after write this after 3/ 4 mouthfuls after which the rest hit the bin. Huge amount of msg making it a goup like gelatinous mess & far too salty. Delivery was 30 minutes late too but maybe Just Eat were hoplessly optimistic about their guys....

Ordered from here before and i will never do so again. Delivery took 1 hour and 20 minutes. Driver forgot to deliver the pizza. Phoned the restaurant and the driver was adamant that she had delivered the full order. Upon checking she realised the pizza was in the car. Waited nearly another hour and the same pizza was delivered stone cold. Totally unacceptable to not send out fresh hot food! Will never order...
