We just had our last and most amazing meal of our trip to Ireland! We're so happy we found this little place before we left. The atmosphere was fantastic, cozy and quiet enough we could enjoy each other's company. The staff was beyond helpful and made us immediately feel at home. My husband had the duck special and I had the southern fried chicken sandwich. The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned just the right way. The meat was tender and flavorful. I wish we had known about this place before our last night because we would have definitely gone again! We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic place to eat and if we ever come back for a visit, The WoodPecker will definitely be on our list!...

I really wanted to like this place but everything about it was disappointing. We called and made a reservation for food, then showed up to find out they no longer served food. They insisted we were mistaken, so we called the phone number again to find it was automatically transferred to N11 down the street so we had an excellent meal there. Persevering, we came back to watch rugby and were greeted with below-average service and ambiance. The owner was very rude to us when we tried to play darts during half time, and the band basically set up their equipment on top of us while we were watching the last few minutes of the game. Brilliant relaxed environment with good warm open welcome from the owners Nikki who dealt with our order was friendly and polite as the bar staff were great. Me and my partner had wing to start which were amazing and good value too. The for the main course I had the Thai green curry which one have to say was the best yet and my partner had the chicken and mushroom pasta which was huge !! I have to say I would highly recommend this brilliant venue to anyone interested in eating here well...
