avoid unless you speak italian
Not much positive to say about this place. Middle of nowhere. Need to pay for sheets and towels. Owners only speak italian (our group speaks fluent english, french, spanish and serbian/bosnian - impossible to communicate with anyone) 95% of other hostel guests are italian and also only speak italian. Aircon is only turned on at 23:00 and is turned off at around 8:00; impossible to sleep without it as its hot af. Room is tiny. Theres never any toilet paper or soap in the bathrooms; always have to go to front desk to ask for some. We had one fun night where the music was blasting by the bar and everyone was dancing and having a good time, until the owner decided to hose everyone down; I literally felt like a farm animal. Very expensive hostel for what you get. I do not recommend staying here if you’re an international traveler. I don’t know how they are so highly rated. Must be friends giving them 5 stars or all...
Read moreWe've had a very bad experience in this filthy hostel. After the experiences, I've checked the international reviewers and can confirm what they are saying. Situations that we've encountered: You ask for AC, He says there is no remote, we insist, he opens it until we go to bed and then closes it. Beds with ants. Dirty walls. Kitchen only opens for around 2 hours for each meal, you miss the timeslot and you can't access your own food if it's there (e.g. in the fridge). So you can't eat when you want, only when the owner wants. 5E for everything (sheets, towels, etc), not specified in the description of the booking (so hidden fees).
Would not recommend.
On the plus side: location is good enough (everything is at walkable distance in the town) you have an outdoor section where you can relax 2...
Read moreThe best: 24 hours attendance. You can enter and go out whenever you want. Also the breakfast has no hour, you can take it anytime. Of course it is just a coffee/juice + brioche/pasriccioto leccese. There is no common kitchen but there is a fridge to put food. Some couch to relax. The pool was clean. The air conditioner was working good at night. There is a van that goes to the center almost every hour, the cost for a ride is 5€ but there are also some discounts if you use it the whole day or so on. Bad thing is that they charge you 5€ for the bed sheets that is mandatory. The bathrooms are not that cleaned at all, they just clean them in...
