We caught this very unique cable lift up Sassolungo, and it was an experience! The mountain itself had incredible views in both directions, and appears to be an excellent spot for the via ferrata / rock climbers. The view of the mountain itself at the top was up so close, it is like looking at the Empire State Building from the front door, but great from a distance, and the views of the other mountains in the region. A unique experience, I would definitely not...

We caught this very unique cable lift up Sassolungo, and it was an experience! The mountain itself had incredible views in both directions, and appears to be an excellent spot for the via ferrata / rock climbers. The view of the mountain itself at the top was up so close, it is like looking at the Empire State Building from the front door, but great from a distance, and the views of the other mountains in the region. A unique experience, I would definitely not wanted to miss.

Partenza dal passo Sella (dove c'è il grande rifugio, il parcheggio e l'impianto di ascesa al Demetz), salita ripida al rifugio Demetz e altrettanto ripida discesa al rifugio Venezia. Poi, tenendo la dx ci si dirige verso la città dei Sassi dove c'è anche una residua lingua di ghiacciaio in fase di scioglimento e quindi al rifugio Comici, di e la vista sul Sella è spettacolare. Da qui si rientra al punto di partenza.
