Gran Paradiso — Restaurant in Salten-Schlern - Salto-Sciliar

I usually do not write reviews, but this place deserves it. It is the worst baita in the Dolomites. Bad service (the waitress insisted that I ordered something that I actually did not order and I could not keep up the pace of arguing with a preposterous person so I just let her give me the wrong drink and ordered another one. I paid for the wrong one, of course). Kaiserschmarn was filled with oil, it looked like something you could throw to the pigs. My son asked for a bit of extra sauce and, of course, we had to pay extra. In short, the food is bad, the service is bad and you pay pricey for this experience....

One of the most baddest services I ever had, I asked about polenta, the waitress told me it is over and she will come in a minute to take my order I replied and waited for 15 min , asked many other waiters they told they can’t, because they do not have the device. My sister founded other waiter and my family asked for tap water with 4 glasses . The waitress brought flash of water and 3 glasses , she didn’t brought 4 glasses and tap water. I am very shocked and never gonna eat again...

By far my favourite place to eat around the Sellaronda, right in front of the Langkofel. I tried finding this restaurant after visiting once before but it wasn't on Google Maps so I had to add it for others to find. Please come here and sit out in the sun. You will be happy you did. The cheese, spinach and beetroot dumplings are delightful. The polenta with cheese and mushrooms always works and the coffee is good too. So many great options on the menu and...
